Second floor common room, Saturday morning

There were pros and cons to the greatest week ever.

Pros: Boys. And a valid, obvious reason to do them without anyone getting judgey.

Cons: Usually she could do what she wanted when she wanted with who and it was no problem, so that part wasn't really any different from her on a normal day. But after a while that antsiness came back, and at this time of the day on a Saturday, who knew who was actually around/not already- ahem- busy.

So it was a mildly frustrated Brooke waiting impatiently for the coffee to brew, sometimes with irritated hand gestures that she knew wouldn't work and the occasional, "Come on already." Because it had not occurred to her that caffeine would not help.

[I am up too damn early and nowhere I need to be opens for hours. Entertain me.]

Alex shouldn't have been up this early but he was and spending it in his room wasn't looking like something he wanted to do. So, he was up and standing in the doorway to the common room, watching Brooke with an amused look on his face.

"Maybe you should buy it dinner first," he said. It was corny. He didn't care.

"Then, maybe you should share," he said, stepping into the common room. "It'd be the nice thing to do."

"You'd better be making enough for me too with all that talking," Griff mumbled from where he'd been sleeping in a chair.

No, he hadn't been back to his room since what he'd seen, thanks.

"Getting used to that one," Griff replied, stretching out with the little blanket he'd found.

Checking his watch he was surprised to have been woken by anyone in this town given what seemed to be going around. "Feeling coffee desperation this morning?"

[identity profile] fratboybitch.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"...are you still sleeping in here?" Alex asked, unable not to laugh.

[identity profile] youcantfollow.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Griff glared at the reason he'd not slept well in two nights. "Now that I see you here, I know the room is safe again."

Yakko ran into the common room and suddenly stopped.

"It's that time again!" After a brief pause, he continued, as if addressing someone who wasn't there. "No, it's time to learn the day's lesson! And to find out what it is, we turn to... The Wheel of Morality!" Yakko motioned towards the door, where a large wheel with 'The Wheel of Morality' written on it in huge letters drifted in.

"Wheel of Morality, turn, turn, turn," Yakko recited as he spun the wheel. "Tell us the lesson that we should learn." As the spinning wheel slowed down and landed on the number 6, a sheet of paper was printed from a slot on the side. Yakko went to his next line as he grabbed the sheet of paper. "Moral Number Six. And the moral of today's story is... A man's home is his castle, but apartment complexes frown upon moats in the hallway."

Yakko shrugged, darted out of the room, and the wheel disappeared out into the hallway a moment later.

This was not a fake ping that would be deleted in a moment. This comment was the real thing. Scary, ain't it?

Griff blinked, uncertain just what that had been, but feeling like he'd just lost on a game show somehow.

"...all righty," Alex said after that little...display had finished.

[identity profile] cutsthestrings.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
She was walking back from her explorations of the building when she saw Brooke... and was surprised by how little she still wanted to punch the girl in the face. The fact that she was once more settled with Griff probably had something to do with that.

"I'm sure it'll work if you stop staring at it," she said.

[identity profile] cutsthestrings.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Things take longer if you watch them," she said with a roll of her eyes.

"I thought everyone knew that."

Was Chuck avoiding his own floor? Maybe. It did give him some sort of glee to see someone looking as frustrated as he felt.

"Think coffee is really going to help?"

[identity profile] rocksthescarf.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm sure you could find something much more productive to do with your hands," Chuck said, leaning back against the counter.

Coffee always helped. If nothing else, it gave even more energy to spend - however you wanted.

"Could've made instant," Rose pointed out lightly, tying her hair up in a ponytail as she came into the common room.

[identity profile] guardianborn.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Rose laughed. "Could yell at everyone who's asked you to share," she pointed out.

What, she was new here, not blind.

"And here I thought you were too busy for common rooms," Alex teased (yes, he could tease sometimes). "My good luck."

Claudia (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v352/morganzola/80957657.jpg) bounced into the common room. "Oh, Lord, is there coffee?"

She was a different kind of wired right now. Coffee would be something else to concentrate on.

[identity profile] fratboybitch.livejournal.com 2009-06-06 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Alex...was momentarily distracted by that outfit. Because, wow. Wow. "Uh, Brooke's been trying to coax something out of the coffeemaker."
