Second floor common room, Saturday morning

There were pros and cons to the greatest week ever.

Pros: Boys. And a valid, obvious reason to do them without anyone getting judgey.

Cons: Usually she could do what she wanted when she wanted with who and it was no problem, so that part wasn't really any different from her on a normal day. But after a while that antsiness came back, and at this time of the day on a Saturday, who knew who was actually around/not already- ahem- busy.

So it was a mildly frustrated Brooke waiting impatiently for the coffee to brew, sometimes with irritated hand gestures that she knew wouldn't work and the occasional, "Come on already." Because it had not occurred to her that caffeine would not help.

"Thanks," she said, even if she hadn't really meant it as a compliment. "Did you want coffee?"

"Please," Claudia said. "It's morning. I'm not a big morning person."

"Yeah, tell me about it," she grumbled, getting a cup for her. Not that Brooke had a huge problem with mornings in general, just that they sometimes started better than being all frustrated and rarr.

"Especially this week," she said with a little pout, running her finger around the lip of the cup. "I'm all...crabby."

Beat.

"Not in an STD way."

Brooke hoped she hadn't been talking to Chuck. "That's.... very good to know..."

Claudia covered her face with her free hand. "I'm sorry. My mind's been kind of one-tracked this week."

"Yeah, tell me about it. "There'd been radio, after all. "Don't get me wrong, it's a really good track."

"Oh completely," Claudia said. "I can't believe how much play the room across from me is getting. It's where Arthur and Leto are. I should, like, ask for tips."

"I think you'd need to become a hot guy with interest in everyone for that," said Brooke. She spoke from experience, as she'd done of them and would totally go for the other, if only to break Jaina's brain.

Claudia pouted. "Plus if girls do that it's kinda slutty."

Brooke frowned at her. She was getting quite a bit of play herself. Some just in this CR.

"I'm gonna say this week is a big ol' extenuating circumstance," she rationalized.

The funny thing would be if Brooke figured out she wasn't actually affected, and this was just her.

"That's what I had to agree to when I cut Priestly a break," Claudia admitted.

"Ack," she said, making a face. "Yeah, maybe as long as he's sorry? He doesn't seem the type to do that normally."

Claudia nodded. "That's what I thought, too. The other guys have a vibe."
