Second Floor Common Room, Saturday Afternoon

Tony put the DVD for the Roman Polanski version of The Scottish Play into the player and went to make popcorn while the FBI warning came up on the screen. He plopped down on the couch with his popcorn and pop and waited for a few people to arrive before starting the movie itself.

"Oooh, dinner. Sure! Is it any good? I was out the week we did that in my lit class at my old school."

Dinah dished her up a plate of stir-fry and handed over a fork, then grinned, leaning against the counter. "So far? Tony got the bloody and well-known version, and it looks like it's progressing in terrifying fashion. We're doing this one down at the Boards this summer."

Jill took a bite of the stir-fry--which was really good, actually--chewed, swallowed, and said, "Oh, yeah? I'll be sure to be there. Hey, did I, uh. Do anything weird over the weekend? Or Jack, maybe?"

Dinah shook her head immediately. "Not that I heard of? I missed last night's Radio, but I didn't see Jack around anywhere, the last few days. Or hear about him. Why?" She gave Jill a worried look.

Jill looked down at her plate. "I don't remember."

"Uh-oh." Dinah bit her lip, then said, "The last few days, everyone's hormones have been out of whack. Jumpy. Um. Overdrive. But I swear, I haven't heard that you've done anything, or seen Jack. So maybe... I don't know." She frowned. "Where did you wake up?"

"Well, I woke up in bed Friday morning," Jill said. "Jack woke up on top of my desk sometime Tuesday. I'm missing from Friday to Tuesday."

"Well, crap," Dinah said. "Do you think you should see a doctor, or something? Because that doesn't sound good."

"Doctors haven't been able to help so far," Jill said with a shrug.

"What are you going to do?" Dinah shook her head. "This doesn't sound good."

"See if it happens again next cycle, I guess?"

"I guess." Dinah shook her head, then wondered, "Are you feeling any of the weirdness now?"

"I tried to go for a walk on Friday and there were freaky alligators. So that would be a yes," Jill said.

"Yeeeah. Those were fun to fight. Oh!" Dinah suddenly thought of something. "Maybe there's something on the Radio, right before you lost all that time? Maybe the squirrels will know?"

"Oh, yeah!" Jill said. "Don't they have like a podcast available or something?"

"Uh-hunh, it's on the school website," Dinah confirmed. "That's how I always catch up when I'm gone, or I miss a night where I really want to know what happened." She smiled. "And they know everything!"

"So, there you go, I'll check that," Jill said. "And I might even...ask the squirrels. That sounds weird."

Dinah started giggling. "Yeah, it does. But there's been weirder, I'm sure of it." She grinned. "In the mean time, have some more food. And we should do something fun soon."

"We should," Jill agreed. She took a bite of her food before she asked, "Got any ideas?"

"Hmmm, shopping? You know, I never hit all the shops here, I keep going to Turtle & Canary. We could go looking for whatever looks like a good idea," Dinah suggested, eyebrows going up.

"Oooh, shopping," Jill said. "It's fun to just shop and not actually need anything, you know?" She really was a total girl sometimes.

"Totally. Tomorrow, or maybe Wednesday? I've got classes and practices on Monday and Tuesday?" You could never have too many boots, after all.

"Wednesday would be good," Jill said. "I have classes and stuff, too."
