Deck \ Sunday \ Afternoon \ June 7

When you spend several long (but very, very good) days in your (or someone else's) dorm room, you almost got the urge to go outside and make sure the sun was still there. So, that's what Alex was doing. It was warm but not mind numbingly hot and the sun was coming and going between clouds.

He was pleasantly tired and content with nursing a bottle of water (yes, water) and smoking every so often. And hey, at least he could remember the past several days. He'd had weeks where he couldn't remember much at all before. This was an improvement.

Alex was actually having a good few days. That was a surprise to him most of all.

Tony winced. "Yeah, awkward. Have you talked to him?"

"Seeing him tomorrow. I could track him down today, I guess, but... I'd really like my head to be together before then," Dinah said, echoing the wince.

Tony nodded. "Do you really like George like that?"

"I like George," well, she knew that much. "And he's cuter than I thought he was before. I just--" Dinah shrugged helplessly. "I don't know." She sighed, looked down at her toes. "Or if he kissed me back from hormones, or what." The idea of being pushy was really unsettling. "Gotta talk to him about it. Don't wanna."

Tony poked her toe with his. "Why not just kiss him again and see if it works?"

Which idea had a certain appeal, but Dinah still poked him back. "Just 'cause he's straight doesn't mean he likes me." She paused. "Although at least this week cleared up that question."

"And just 'cause he kissed you this week doesn't mean he wouldn't want to kiss you normally," Tony said.

"Point," Dinah said, thinking about it. It'd be nice, if... well. "Talking first would probably be good." She smiled sideways at him. "How about you? No regrets?"

"None at all," Tony grinned.

Dinah poked his toe with hers, then said, "Hey. I figured out a new trick with the TK. Which I won't be doing to George again soon, but."

She reached out, and bopped him on the nose with her telekinesis, very gently.

Tony touched his nose, surprised. "Oh, that's cool," he said.

Dinah giggled, and said, "Motivation plus inspiration equals new trick." She grinned. "I can't feel anyone's skin when I do that, it's kind of like having gloves on or something. But still." And the other ideas of how to use it, well. Those could stay fantasies for a good long while.

Tony could think of some interesting things to do with a trick like that, but none of them were things he'd do with Dinah. "It's handy," he said. "You could totally mess with someone during class."

Dinah turned bright, bright red. "Yeah. You could." She coughed. "If you were the kind of person who did that."
