Angela wasn't really the sort of girl to mope. Even after a rough couple of days like this. Just not in her.

She knew she'd overreacted, that it was up to her to sort out, and that she should just get over herself and do it... But she wasn't going to go out of her way to do it right this minute. Soon. She'd stop putting it off and do it soon.

Until then, she was the sort to distract herself from all the things she didn't really want to keep thinking about, by getting out of her room and flopping on the common room couch to flick through channels in the hope there was something half decent on.

The answer, as it turned out, was 'not really'.

"That's... okay, not that unusual around here," she had to admit. "Where are you from?"

"Right at the cusp of when Earth starts going into all of that stuff," Valentine said with a smile. "I'm disappointed. Most people still seem to be fairly impressed by that."

Angela gave a little laugh. "Oh, it's still impressive, sweetie," she assured the other girl. "But after a year, you'll find you've heard weirder."

"I'll have to make sure to ask about how long someone's been here before I pull out that one hoping for 'oohs' and 'aahs,'" Valentine said with a grin. "Although, really, the fact that you're classifying the whole thing about Dr. Brennan on a mere 'weird' scale should have been a clue. I'm getting rusty."
