4th Floor Common Room [Tuesday, Evening]

Angela wasn't really the sort of girl to mope. Even after a rough couple of days like this. Just not in her.

She knew she'd overreacted, that it was up to her to sort out, and that she should just get over herself and do it... But she wasn't going to go out of her way to do it right this minute. Soon. She'd stop putting it off and do it soon.

Until then, she was the sort to distract herself from all the things she didn't really want to keep thinking about, by getting out of her room and flopping on the common room couch to flick through channels in the hope there was something half decent on.

The answer, as it turned out, was 'not really'.

"Anything good on?"

"You like men in lycra?" Angela asked, glancing over her shoulder. "Because I caught some of that a couple of channels back."

"I'm somewhere between that and Food Network."

"Oh for the love of god, Food Network," Chuck said, wrinkling up his nose. He plopped down on the couch and made himself comfortable. "Men in lycra aren't my thing."

Valentine gave Chuck a little wave.

"Investors like a family man, huh?" she asked, by way of greeting. She tended to pay attention to people who interested her, especially when they were saying things that felt reminiscent of a certain brother.

"Looks like someone was paying attention in class," Chuck said, snickering. "It's true. Bachelors are too unpredictable. Can get into too much trouble."

Jennifer waved at Chuck. "Hey there," she said.

"What's up with this no men in lyrca on tv thing?" Rose teased.

"I'm all for looking at hot men but lycra is so tacky," Chuck said.

Well, this was rather convenient. Valentine had intended to say hi to Angela in class on Hannibal's recommendation, but had found herself too distracted in contemplating today's topic, but there she was, on Valentine's trip upstairs in the attempt to seem social.

"Hi."

She waved as she came in, thinking she could get used to this whole chain of recommended people to talk to being so effortless.

Angela offered a quick wave herself, "Hey."

She paused to wrack her brain for a moment, making sure she wasn't forgetting a name. "You're in one of my classes, right?"

"Hi, Valentine, right?" Jennifer greeted.

"Hello, Valentine," Jack said, with a little bit of a wave. "How was your weekend?"

Jennifer came into the room and gave Angela a little wave. "Hey," she said.

"Hey." Angela offered a smile at her in greeting. "Want to join my food envy?" It was almost making her wish she could actually cook.

Jack nodded a greeting. "I was supposed to tell you more about my home sometime, wasn't I?" he asked.

Rose hadn't really only gone to class today, and she wandered out to the Common Room, a little more beat up than usual.

"Watching anything interesting?" she asked, heading over to snag some cookies from the cupboard.

"It's making me wish I could cook," Angela replied, looking over at the girl. "Which is more inspiring than anything else on."

Jennifer waved at Rose. "Hey, I haven't seen you in awhile."

"Hey Angela," Ellie greeted, wandering into the common room that was one floor below her own. She peered at the television. "What are you watching?"

"Whatever I can find that won't bore me to tears," she replied easily. "Any preference?"

"So this is where everyone is tonight," Jack observed, as he wandered into the common room two floors up and started poking through the cupboards for some sweets.
