Fifth Floor Common Room, Friday Morning

Raven had had a much more restful sleep that night, thanks in no small part to the strength Professor Anakin had added to her shields. And he hadn't thrown her out of the school for using her powers on Chuck, so that lightened her mood as well. (And she hadn't listened to the radio and heard herself referred to as having a weird kink about doors.) She decided to test her shielding by venturing into the common room. Someone had left the TV on, and she found herself mesmerized by what was on, a strange show featuring a scruffy madman who had somehow schemed to turn the woman he loved into a mummy. He was currently fondling her bandage-wrapped form while her sister debated how to rescue her.

"Mine's worse yet," Romeo reassured her. "I'm getting paperwork for the store in order. I need to see if I can bribe Jenny into handling it once I'm gone."

"I don't want you to go," she said, with a pout. "I do wonder how much of a bribe that'd take."

A beat.

"The Jenny part," Ino added.

"I'm going to start with the best whiskey I can buy and her choice of the shortest skirts in the store, and move up from there." He cracked a grin. "Besides, if she doesn't want it, I'll just ask Eric."

[intraspective]

Ino snickered. "That's one way of getting a new manager for a store," she agreed. "Do you think they could do the paperwork?"

"I think if I can or Miss Bell can, anyone can," Romeo decided. "And if they can't, it's not as though I'd be out any money."

Occasionally, he was pragmatic.

[intraspective]

"Clearly," she laughed, "the words of someone who doesn't really care for the business!"

Romeo grinned slyly. "Now you see my evil plan."
