At the picnic yesterday, Rose had discovered a major, major flaw in Zayne's planning skills.

Namely he didn't know the problems that would obviously occur if you went through SHARK INFESTED WATERS in a little boat.

Obviously there needed to be a showing of Teeth Jaws to correct this issue. 

And that was what Rose was here to do.  She'd found a copy of the movie and was making popcorn (the old-fashioned way cause the microwave was evil).  Sure, she'd been promised snacks, but someone who had never watched Teeth might not know about the importance of popcorn.

"Thanks. Guess you're not new?"

"No, I've been here six months now," Zayne said. "So I'm still newer than a lot of people, I guess."

"You used to it yet?"

"Mostly," Zayne said. "But I do come from another galaxy, so I think I have a head start on most people."

"The same one as Leto?" He was rolling with the weirdness punches now. Well, the big weirdness punches. Little weirdness Chinese burns were harder to deal with.

"I don't think so," Zayne said. "The same one as Jaina, Tahiri, and Ben, if you've met any of them."

"I don't know them yet," Kyle shrugged. "Are you from the future too?"

"Well, I'm way in the past of Jaina, Tahiri, and Ben," Zayne said. "But I don't actually know what that means compared to Fandom's time, if that makes any sense."

"Time travel never makes any sense," Kyle replied. "But let's pretend it does so we don't have to think too hard about it. Must be weird coming here from a different galaxy."

"It's easier than you'd expect," Zayne said. "Really, this is just another planet. It's just farther away from home than usual."

"Why'd you come so far? No schools at home?"

"It's kind of a study abroad thing," Zayne explained. "I come here, learn about the culture, and I expand my horizons. How about you? I take it you're from the future of this planet?"

"A future. Things haven't happened here like I know they happened where I'm from. They still could happen though. It's 2018 when I'm from. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it might as well be a century."

"How so?" Zayne asked. "If you don't mind me asking."

"I don't mind," Kyle shook his head. "There was a nuclear war. Some scientists made a really smart computer and it got smarter. They hooked it up to the Defense Network System and put it in charge of the nukes. It's called Skynet. Skynet became sentient, decided humans were the enemy and used our own weapons against us. We call it Judgment Day."
