At the picnic yesterday, Rose had discovered a major, major flaw in Zayne's planning skills.

Namely he didn't know the problems that would obviously occur if you went through SHARK INFESTED WATERS in a little boat.

Obviously there needed to be a showing of Teeth Jaws to correct this issue. 

And that was what Rose was here to do.  She'd found a copy of the movie and was making popcorn (the old-fashioned way cause the microwave was evil).  Sure, she'd been promised snacks, but someone who had never watched Teeth might not know about the importance of popcorn.

"Elle Bishop," she said. "You?"

Social skills were overrated anyway. "Kyle Reese. I found hot chocolate." He showed off the box he'd pulled out of the cupboard.

"Oh, nice." Elle grinned. "Find anything else good?"

Kyle nodded. "Coffee, eight kinds of tea, bread, cereals, rice, mac and cheese, hamburger helper, noodles, baking stuff, oils and lots and lots of cans. There's enough in here to feed a squadron for a month."

"Apparently people cook in here a lot," Elle said. "We don't even need to go to the cafeteria, really -- we can just eat right here in our common rooms."

"Yeah, they told me that too. I wasn't sure I believed them, but then there's all this food just sitting here. Rose is going to teach me how to make popcorn." He pointed out which one was Rose, not knowing whether she knew who he was talking about.

"Rose is awesome," Elle said with a grin. "She's my Big Sibling."

"The school did okay with that sibling thing. I got a pretty good sibling too."

"Who'd you get?"

"Jack. I don't know his last name. Curly blond hair, English accent? He loaned me clothes."

"Didn't have any of your own when you got here?"

He shook his head. "Had to go naked. Side effect of what they used to send me here." Of course, he'd stolen some clothes after that, but details.

"... that sounds odd. You didn't mind the naked part?" Elle tended to ask questions without thinking. Ever.

And because Kyle was kind of adorable -- and they had just been talking about him being naked, albeit briefly -- she gave him a once-over.

"Didn't really have a choice," he admitted. "But it wasn't so bad." No, the burning, aching, electrical ow was the bad part.

"Is that how you'll have to go home, too?"

"I don't know," he admitted. "They didn't tell me that part. I have to wait to hear from them."
