At the picnic yesterday, Rose had discovered a major, major flaw in Zayne's planning skills.

Namely he didn't know the problems that would obviously occur if you went through SHARK INFESTED WATERS in a little boat.

Obviously there needed to be a showing of Teeth Jaws to correct this issue. 

And that was what Rose was here to do.  She'd found a copy of the movie and was making popcorn (the old-fashioned way cause the microwave was evil).  Sure, she'd been promised snacks, but someone who had never watched Teeth might not know about the importance of popcorn.

"Well, I'm hoping something's in it or I'm just going to wonder if you're carrying around a random bag cause you're crazy," Rose teased.

"Well, it could be to hide the bodies in." She'd actually done that on more than one occasion. Even if that's not what she was doing tonight.

She'd already considered that, but she couldn't smell anything, and it seemed a bit more random than she's expect from Triela. Also whose body would it be?

"It could be," she agreed. "But I'm thinking it's not."

"Maybe there's just no body in it yet."

She shook her head. "Actually, it's full of rope and harnesses." Climbing gear.

Rose put together that part instantly. "What are you climbing?"

"Not climbing. Rappelling." She jerked her head upward, toward the roof.

Her eyes widened, and Rose couldn't get the words out fast enough. "That sounds like the coolest thing ever."

"Never know when you might need to get out in a hurry." Triela just hoped she never had to evactuate a group off the roof. A bunch of untrained people with unfamiliar gear would be a pain.

"You ever want to join in, let me know."

"Right now?" Rose asked. She grinned. "Or wasn't I supposed to take you up on that that quickly?"

Triela considered for a moment, then shrugged. "I suppose we could at least go check out conditions up there. See if we can get things set up."

"Sounds good to me," Rose said. "It's been a few years since I did anything like that, but I remember pretty well."

"So you're pretty good at it?" It would be easier if she didn't have to do any teaching.

Rose shrugged. "I'm not saying I'm pretty good," she said. "I'm saying I won't fall off the building if you help me secure the ropes."

They'd taken the guardian trainees out to learn survival techniques, but the techniques hadn't always included methods as much as 'hey, do this and you won't die.'"

Triela nodded slowly. "Do you take instructions well?" That always made it easier to teach someone.

"Unless they're stupid instructions," Rose said. She paused and gave Triela a sweet smile.

That drew a smirk in return. "I don't give stupid instructions."

"Then we'll be good," she said, grinning for real now.

"You want to finish your movie?" She was assuming Rose was at least partially responsible for... whatever it was.

"Probably," Rose said. "It's be pretty mean to make Zayne watch it and then leave him halfway through. Meet you upstairs or you wanna watch the end of the crazy old shark movie with us?"

"I'm not a big movie person." That was an understatement. "How about I just catch you up there when it's over?"

"Sounds good," Rose agreed easily.

"See you there." Triela hoisted the bag more comfortably on her shoulder and walked off.
