Main Campfire; Tuesday Evening [ 07/07 ].

Turtle was thinking about going out to do her campfire jumping to meet new people and catch up with old people alive, but decided she'd take the hopping a little further and just go and get a good one going at the main campfire. She even took a trip down to the store so she had plenty of materials for s'mores, hot dogs, and there was even a cooler full of pop.

If you asked Turtle, that was all you really needed for a good campfire.

*smack*

Well, maybe some bug spray. That one was a big one. She wrinkled her nose and scratched the skeeter bite before poking at the fire a little more and setting up its christening s'more.

"I'm not sure if I have," Turtle admitted. "He says if I do a sword, though, it's have to be something small and light because I'm not so much with the upper arm strength. And myth busting is basically taking something like pop rocks and Coke and finding out scientifically if it could make your stomach explode. Tyler's teaching it, so it's bound to be fun. And who's teaching driver's ed this summer? I took mine with Mr. Bond, and, oh maaaaan. That was crazy."

"Ooo, that sounds cool, and Tyler's pretty awesome anyway, the couple times I've talked to him," Dinah said. Yes, that was a tiny crush, but c'mon. He took her seriously in the sparring, she was owed that. "And yeah, Arthur had me lifting weights a lot so I'd be able to lift the one I've got. I don't know the Driver's Ed teacher, I think she's new this term, it just says Ziva David on the registration form." She grinned. "I'm so glad I get to take something from Mr. Bond, Francine told me he was awesome my first week here, I think."

Turtle shook her head. "Drivers' ed from him has ensured that I'll never be fearful ever driving a car, because actual driving is no where near as intense as what he put us through, oh man."

"Like what? And even in Rome? Or London? Or China?" Dinah said, picking places off the top of her head. She grinned. "I don't have my license yet. I'm hoping I can save up to have a motorcycle, next year, maybe."

"Ooh, a motorcycle!" Turtle looked impressed. "My dad got me a car for my sixteenth birthday. It's nothing impressive and it's still in Wisconsin, so it's probably just gathering rust, but I got to take it out last weekend when I went home for the holiday. And I'm talking, like, drivers ed with explosions and clips and car chases."

"Wow," Dinah said, blinking, then wondered, "Do you think they'd get someone like that to teach it twice?"

Oh, Dinah.

"Maybe you could ask for some private lessons," Turtle said with a laugh.

And, try as she might, she found it was impossible to not say it with a certain suggestive connotation. She didn't mean it like that, of course, but it just sort of happened naturally because Mr. Bond was just hot.

Dinah choked on a bite of s'more, cheeks flaming, then giggled. "That awesome, hunh?"

"I swear I didn't mean it like that!" Turtle said, after a moment for her brain to catch up with her tone, and then her face flooded with its own shade of red. She waved her hands around as if to clear away the embarrassed giggles that started tumbling out. "So didn't mean it like that!"

"I believe you! It's just, some of the teachers here..." Dinah sighed heavily. "Um. Yeah. You can't help it. I mean, look at Mitchell. And Mr. Dex. Really." She snickered. "Oh great, now I'll be thinking this tomorrow!"

"Sorry!" Turtle said with a laugh. "But, yeah, you've totally got a point there. Mr. Bond is definitely on that list. Not nearly as high as Mr. Petrelli was, though. I miss him."

"I'm sad I never got to meet him," Dinah said, shaking her head. "But there's always another crazy class and another awesome teacher, hunh?"

"Always," Turtle nodded firmly. "It wouldn't be Fandom without crazy classes and hot teachers. I will feel so proud to call this place my alma mater one day."
