Main Campfire; Tuesday Evening [ 07/07 ].

Turtle was thinking about going out to do her campfire jumping to meet new people and catch up with old people alive, but decided she'd take the hopping a little further and just go and get a good one going at the main campfire. She even took a trip down to the store so she had plenty of materials for s'mores, hot dogs, and there was even a cooler full of pop.

If you asked Turtle, that was all you really needed for a good campfire.

*smack*

Well, maybe some bug spray. That one was a big one. She wrinkled her nose and scratched the skeeter bite before poking at the fire a little more and setting up its christening s'more.

Elle had already had more than her share of s'mores in the past couple days, and for a girl who hadn't had one since well before her ninth birthday? That was really saying something.

She found a log and plopped down in front of it, leaning back with a happy grin. "Hey, Turtle."

Turtle smiled back. "Hey," don't say Not-Veronica, "Elle, right? There's like fifty of you in this group, I swear. S'more? Hot dog? Ice cold carbonated beverage?"

"Swear to God I would have warned you about the crazy pajama man if I'd known," Rose said by way of greeting.

"Turtle! Hi!" Elle yelled and waved from a good many feet away, walking slowly over towards the main campfire in her baby pink three inch wedges. She was carrying a blue blanket and held it in front of her, against her short boob hugging tank. Her midriff was bare and wrapped around her small waist was a cute, rhinestone necklace, its excess bouncing against her designer jean clad thigh.

"How are you?" she asked when near, settling her blanket over a log so she could sit carefully down.

"Hey," don't say Crazy Pink Elle, "Elle!" Turtle greeted the other girl and tried to keep her smile down as she patiently waited for her to get to the campfire in those shoes. "I'm doing really well, thanks. You? Settling in okay?"

Rose was - not quite staring, but she'd gotten used enough to Fandom that Elle's admittedly totally cute outfit seemed surprising.

"Hey," she said with a little wave. "I'm going with the obvious question and ask if you're new."

"Hi, new person," Dinah said, waving her s'more at the other blonde girl after she finally had it made. "I'm Dinah. Welcome to Fandom. Liking it so far, or wanna go home?"

"Good evening, Turtle-san," Hinata said, setting Yei down on the grass where the cat promptly rolled over and then darted up to bat at a bit of fluff.

What? Elle had never had a pet before!

"Hey, Hinata!" Turtle smiled at the other girl and then wiggled her fingers a little at Yei. "Hiiii, kiiiitty! Can I get you a s'more, Hinata? Maybe a hot dog or a pop?"

"Aww, what a cute kitten!" Elle exclaimed at the other girl. "Adorably fluffy."

Main campfire always seemed to have people around it, and Rose headed that way after spending some time in the Camp Gym. Something about a question asking who she'd fight made her really want to fight.

"Hey everyone," she said, finding a seat around the fire and immediately leaning in to poke at it. "Who made the fire?"

It was always good to know these things in case she needed one started.

Turtle lifted her hand. "That'd be me," she said with a smile. "Rose, right? Help yourself to some snacks and drinks, too, there's plenty."

"Hey, Rose," Dinah said, waving as she went over to get a drink. "How are you liking the new session so far?"

"Hey... Rose, right?" Bobby asked. Sure, he'd seen her in class, but that class had been weird on sooooo many levels.

Dinah came in after the Reserves meeting and after stopping off at her cabin, headed to the main campfire. "Hey, Turtle. Oooo, my first s'more of this term."

"You slacker!" Turtle accused with a chuckle, and shoved the bag of marshmallows Dinah's way. "Quick, make one before someone else gets the chance to try to steal the glory of providing your first s'more of the term from me!"

She would have phrased it as s'mores virginity, but that could get a little awkward, she felt.

"We've been out here a whole three days and you haven't had a s'more yet?" Bobby frowned. "Might have to revoke your camping permit."

K-Mart waved over at Dinah. "Hey," she said cheerfully.

Gabrielle was caffeinated as all get out after rehearsal. Really, really caffeinated, and bouncy.

"Hello, Turtle!" she called out, waving cheerfully as she made her way to the campfire. "Hello, everyone. How are you all today?"

"Not as good as you, I think," Rose said, starting to laugh.

"Hello, Gabrielle!" Turtle called back with a wave. "I'm doing well; yourself? And have some food, there's a ton."

"I'm pretty good," Bobby replied, and he couldn't help but grin back at her. "Well, aside from my roommate still being a cat."

It was entirely possible that Bobby hadn't actually noticed that there were individual campfires in front of the cabins. Or he just liked this one better.

In either case, here he was at the main campfire again for the third time in as many days. His cat-ified roommate had elected to stay behind in the cabin this time though.

"Hey Turtle!" he waved. "And other people!"

"Bobby!" Turtle brightly waved back. "Come. Stuff your face with campfire goodness. Where's Kate? Taking a catnap?"

Yes, she thought she was funny.

K-Mart was quite happy to sprawl out against a log. She could get used to this whole campfire thing.
