Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

For the second night in a row, Bobby had set up a common room with his Go-Between Guy DVDs. This time, however, he'd also ordered a bunch of Chinese food- enough to share if anyone came by. He might not be able to cook, but at least he could feed people this way. It was only fair considering the number of times he'd had others' cooking.

"Hey Sookie," Jennifer said with a wave. She even got her pronunciation right. "How are you?"

"I'm just fine, Jennifer! How're you?" she asked with a bright little wave.

"Just fine," Jennifer said. If you exclude the big green thing, she thought. "Escaped all that bad stuff last week. You?"

"Yeah, I didn't get to go comatose last week or anything," she said, exhaling a sigh of relief. "But everyone was worried 'nough that it was still real stressy on me."

"Yeah," Jennifer said. "I think a lot of people are still all agitated, too."

"Yeah, I know they are," she noted ruefully, shaking her head. "Can't say I blame 'em, though."

"Me either," Jennifer said. "It sounds like it was pretty awful. Best we can do is... be around for them, I guess."

Sookie shrugged, nodding. "As hard as it might be on us. My head aches 'nough without the island pulling this kind of stuff."

"You get migraines?" Jennifer asked, unaware of Sookie's ability.

"Not usually. I'm telepathic," she offered, shrugging. "'Less I keep my shields up, I hear eeeeeverything."

"Wow, so you're like a superhero, too?" Jennifer said.

"Not hardly!" Sookie laughed, shaking her head. "No, no, it's just...something I can do. Most people at home think I'm crazy or just plain stupid, 'cause of it."

Jen smiled. "Still, it has to come in handy, even if you have to keep it in check. I'm only just starting to get used to the idea that I can do stuff, too."

"Yeah?" Sookie asked, raising a brow.

"I sort of turn all... big and green when I get angry," Jennifer said.

"...really?" Sookie was fascinated. "That's so cool. Do you know why? Oh, gosh, sorry, that's so rude."

"Oh, no, it's totally okay. It has something to do with my cousin," Jennifer said. "He gave me a transfusion, last time I was home. It apparently gave me this ability."

"Are you strong, too? Or just...big? And green?" she asked curiously.

"Really strong," Jennifer said. "I mean, I can feel how strong I get. It's kind of exciting."

She grinned. "I bet! I mean, I can't do anything practical with my...um, problem, but you can use yours so constructively!"
