Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

For the second night in a row, Bobby had set up a common room with his Go-Between Guy DVDs. This time, however, he'd also ordered a bunch of Chinese food- enough to share if anyone came by. He might not be able to cook, but at least he could feed people this way. It was only fair considering the number of times he'd had others' cooking.

Harper stuck her head in the door. "Hey, do you know if there's any Kool-Aid in the kitchen, or do I have to try another common room?"

Jennifer followed the scent of the food.

"...is this for anyone?" she said.

"I don't actually know," Bobby admitted. "But you're welcome to look!"

"Well, I probably could eat this all myself," Bobby admitted. "But I got it to share."

"I'll do that," said Harper, nodding. She glanced at the television. "What are you watching?"

"You'd have to have a pretty big stomach," Jennifer said.

"Someone told me once I probably have a hollow leg or something," Bobby replied. Sad thing was, he'd actually thought Hank was serious for a good... half hour or so.

"Go-Between Guy," Bobby said. "Awesome television, cancelled way before its time."

"...why would you have a hollow leg?" Jennifer asked.

"The good shows usually are," said Harper. "Do I smell Chinese food? Did you get any Mongolian beef?" She sat down on the couch, her Kool-Aid completely forgotten.

"To fit all the food in?" Bobby shrugged. "It's a saying, apparently."

"You do and I did," Bobby said with a nod. "Please, have some. I'd eat it all but I'd probably explode or something."

"Awesome!" said Harper. "So, tell me more about Go-Between Guy? Like, what does he go between?"

Valentine was making a forced retreat to the common room. She'd spent all day messing with things on her laptop, and didn't need to be spending all evening on there, too.

However, it should be noted that she still carried it under her arm. She gave a wave to the room in general before noting the really good offerings. "Mmm, Chinese."

"I can't cook, so, takeout," Bobby said with a shrug.

"I don't think I've heard that before," Jennifer said. "I guess I haven't known any super eaters, though."

"The monsters and aliens and things and the normal people," Bobby told her. "Like, it's his job to take care of weird stuff and sort of... cover it up and pass it off as normal things."

"That sounds kind of neat," said Harper. "I imagine he has to come up with some really creative excuses and stuff on the spot."

"Hi Valentine," Jennifer said. "Bobby is winning the awesome boy olympics right now."

Jennifer waved at Harper. "Hi," she said.

"And loads of super-cool high-tech gadgets and things," Bobby added. "Also, about a million fake IDs."

"Hi! I didn't know you lived on this floor," said Harper, smiling. "Wait... you do live on this floor, right? Or are you sneaking in like me?"

"It's totally not a saying most people our age throw around, I think, really," Bobby admitted.
