Sixth Floor Kitchen - Thursday Afternoon

The events of last week had triggered Claire's domestic instincts so after a trip to town for supplies, she set up shop in the new kitchen, cooking up pounds of pasta and three different kinds of sauce - a regular tomato, a four cheese and a pesto.

She also had salad and hot, crusty Italian bread.

"It certainly smells good," Ellie agreed. "So how long have you been going to school here?"

"Almost a year, now," Hurley said. "It's been good. Pretty awesome, and stuff."

"It definitely has its moments," Ellie agreed. "It's not like home, that's for sure."

"Yeah, Santa Monica isn't quite this exciting," Hurley said.

"Oh, that's not far from where I'm from," Ellie said. "Encino. 1996."

"Dude. Santa Monica, 1995," Hurley said. "That's really close."

"Good to know there are others around here from the same era," Ellie grinned.

"Yeah," Hurley said. "We can be, like, nineties buddies!"

"You, me, and Angela," Ellie added. And if there were others, she didn't know about them. "We could form a club."
