Sixth Floor Kitchen - Thursday Afternoon

The events of last week had triggered Claire's domestic instincts so after a trip to town for supplies, she set up shop in the new kitchen, cooking up pounds of pasta and three different kinds of sauce - a regular tomato, a four cheese and a pesto.

She also had salad and hot, crusty Italian bread.

"Cheese is a necessity," Ellie agreed. "This is why I could never be a vegan."

Claire chuckled. "Yeah, me either."

"And there's just no way I could live without chocolate, too," Ellie added.

"I don't think I knew that vegans didn't eat chocolate," Claire said.

"Guess it would depend on if the chocolate product was made with dairy at all," Ellie replied.

"Right, milk chocolate, should have figured that out," Claire said.
