4th Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening
One would think that after the bit on the beach with the nakedness and the staring, Rose would have learned to run far, far away from gremlins when they ventured near.
One would think.
Rose, however, wasspecial too busy berating the gremlin for stealing her clothes in the first place to notice him coming closer, fangs bared.
Which was why shortly there after, Rose came rushing into the common room, her hairfixed by little birdies caught back in a ribbon and the long skirts of what looked like one of Morgana's dresses swirling about her ankles.
"Oh my! This is a terrible mess," she exclaimed, clapping her hands together in front of her chest as she surveyed the Common Room. "We'd better clean it quickly before our little friends come home from the mines. They'll have had a long day's work, and they'll want their dinner."
A moment later, she was skipping around the room, wielding a duster and a mop and somehow managing to leave everything sparkly clean in her wake.It was probably the song that Rose was happily carolling that did it.
"Just whistle while you work
Put on that grin and start right in to whistle loud and long
Just hum a merry tune
Just do your best and take a rest and sing yourself a song"

Yeah, Alex was pretty sure Rose would be regretting this in the morning. "What do they like to have for dinner?"
no subject
Rose thought about it for a long moment. "Often they like soup."
no subject
"Soup is easy enough to make," she smiled. Really, she used to make it at home to go with the sub sandwiches at the Waverly Sub Station. "Any special ingredients to go in it?"
no subject
Ohhhh, Rose was going to hate herself tomorrow.
"I always put love into my soup and share it on out! Everything else is just a side note."
no subject
Yes, yes she was.
"Okay, then we can go from there, I guess." Alex might have remembered her phone having video capabilities and thought about filming some of this. Secretly, of course.

"I'm not much of a singer," Alex admitted, making a face. "You can sing if you want to, I'll just listen." And cook. And maybe record some of it.

"Sure, why not?" Alex was curious to see what she came up with.

And so she started...
"With a spoon and a bowl
With the music in your soul
You can cheer things up with the zub, zub, zub
Of the music in your doup.""
no subject
"Um, that's a nice song." With Alex's luck, she'd have that song stuck in her head all day tomorrow.
no subject
With a gulp
With a grin
Get a wiggle on your chin
You can make things hum with a zum, zum, zum
Of the music in your soup...
Oh, it was a fabulous, fabulous song.

"Uh, sure?" Like Alex was going to sing that of all things. Yeah, not really. But hey, she could pretend. Why not? "I'm not the greatest singer, just so you know."
Fabulous was one word for it, sure.
[And now I have "Working Song" from Enchanted in my head, hee. ♥!]

"Swing that spoon
Gota keep on dippin'
Scoop up that soup
Gotta keep on sippin'
Till the bowl is dry
And your face is drippin'
Rose continued on, paying no attention to poor Alex's earworm.

She decided to concentrate on making the soup and decided she wasn't going to record that with her phone, this time around.
[Definitely.]

She was waiting to see who the dwarves turned out to be.
