Fourth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie had been struck by the slightest bout of homesickness earlier, which, as it had her first night in Fandom, drove her to go to the store and return to her common room kitchen with armfuls of supplies to make banana pudding.

She was fairly satisfied with her first batch, which was set aside in a two-quart dish and from which she was sampling while she carefully whisked over a double boiler. She had no idea who was going to eat all this, but it was like a rule -- you couldn't make just a little of this stuff.

She was pretty sure she could find someone to eat it. It wasn't like people around here hated sweets or anything (though she imagined that'd be an awful life.) In the meantime, she stirred, pausing to turn the television onto some old sitcom, just for background noise.

[omg I don't even like bananas and I want to make that, now. totes open. come eat pudding.]

"Aye, we took him t'have milkshakes and fries," George informed her. "Seems like they're still tasty when you're a wee bird." He grinned. "So what kind of animal would ye like t'be turned into if'n you were."

"Could be tryin' the roofs," George pointed out. "Though that's not th' same really."

"Would ye automatically know how t'fly?" George wondered.

"Which isn't th' same," he checked.

"I don' even know what a plane is," George admitted.

"...a giant metal bird," he repeated slowly.

It sounded much less insane when he was just going with it.

George gave her an apologetic grin. "I don't have a clue, lass. 'M sorry."

"I'll be sure t'do that then," he said quickly.

He was totally still stuck on the giant metal bird, yeah.
