Bobby was, to put it quite plainly, bored.

Even the television had proved unsatisfactory in terms of entertainment factor, which is why he was now sitting on the floor surrounded by reams of paper with the television just on for the sake of background noise.

He was determined, you see, to build the perfect paper airplane.

His was a difficult life! "Huh," Bobby considered that. "You know, I never actually thought about it that way."

"Really?" Tara shrugged in mild surprise. "Maybe I just have an interesting brain. D-does it go straight in reverse?"

"No," Bobby admitted glumly, because that would've been kinda cool. "It flips over, really, and then it goes in reverse. Much less exciting."

Tara took a seat on the ground beside him. "I've never made one do that," she tried. "Mine tend to just, uh, crash. No flippiness."

"Well, if you work real hard at it eventually you'll get to my level of paper-plane mastery. Where they flip then crash," he informed Tara solemnly. "It's a big step up."

Tara laughed. "I'm not, not sure I'm ready for that much power," she said. "I'd have to use my paper planes for good."

"And that's where the wise mentor figure comes in, to set you on the right path," Bobby said.
