Bobby was, to put it quite plainly, bored.

Even the television had proved unsatisfactory in terms of entertainment factor, which is why he was now sitting on the floor surrounded by reams of paper with the television just on for the sake of background noise.

He was determined, you see, to build the perfect paper airplane.

Which meant Merlin was more than just a bit confused as he walked on in on the hunt for food that didn't need to be cooked.

"Experimenting!" Bobby told him brightly. "With paper airplanes."

"They make them out of paper?"

Tara waved to Merlin. "Hi! I s-see you at reserves meetings but you always seem busy." And Tara was shy in crowds. "How are you?"

"Hello, Tara!" Merlin grinned wide, waving back. "I'm doing--well. You?"

Tara, wandering upstairs in search of peanut butter, glanced from the paper to Bobby. It wasn't hard to guess what he was doing.

"H-hi," she offered. "How's the building going?"

Bobby looked up and grinned. "Not too bad... if my goal was building a plane that'll fly in practically the opposite direction that I launched it, or one that just goes straight down, or one that does about half a loop before it goes straight down."

"Oh! Well, those might have functions," Tara said, feeling a little sorry for Bobby. "Y-you could completely confuse people flying a plane in reverse."

"Hey Bobby," Rose said as she found herself wandering into the Common Room below hers. "Still have the clap?"

"Rose!" Bobby squeaked. "What? No!" He was quiet for a moment, then: "Well, yes, I guess. But not like that! I mean I have the stuffed... thingy."

Really, she just wanted to see his face do that omg scrunchie thing.

Merlin waved at the new comer, poking at a bit of paper as if that would cause it to become a plane.

A whole bloody plane.

"Hey," Rose said, recognizing him from - the other Fandom. He seemed a heck of a lot goofier here. "What are you trying to do with the paper?"

"Hey Bobby," Jennifer said, peeking in the room.

"Trying to make a paper airplane," Bobby explained, gesturing to the pile of failed attempts.

"Trying being the key word," Jennifer said. "I'd offer to help, but I'm not sure I'm a paper airplane master."

"Boy Scout Bobby," Kennedy greeted him as she came in, lured by curiosity at the sound of the TV.

"...what are you doing?"

"I'm not a Boy Scout," Bobby rolled his eyes. "And I'm failing at paper airplanes." Boy Scouts could probably make perfect paper airplanes every time!

"Hullo!" Merlin said to the new person, waving a piece of paper that was folded one too many times.

Laaaazy day of no classes means laaaazy day of wandering down the stairs to whatever common room looks like it has food people in it.

Francine eyed the pile of paper as she came in. "Snowflakes, airplanes, or dolls?" she asked with a grin.

Sadly, Bobby had not had another takeout-ordering mishap, so there was no food set about.

"Airplanes. Sort of." Bobby made a face at one such failed attempt.
