Bobby was, to put it quite plainly, bored.

Even the television had proved unsatisfactory in terms of entertainment factor, which is why he was now sitting on the floor surrounded by reams of paper with the television just on for the sake of background noise.

He was determined, you see, to build the perfect paper airplane.

"I thought everybody knew who Liberace was," Kennedy said, frowning. "Oh, wait, you must be an alien like my roommate, huh?"

Merlin opened his mouth before thinking better. "I'm rather sure I'm not an alien," He said slowly. "Just, um, from a bit in the past."

"Oh, right." Kennedy nodded, all I knew that, I was just testing you. "I forget about that part. So how'd you, with the--" She gestured at her eyes. "Unless this is one of those things that's going to break my brain like everybody warns me about."

"Oh." Kennedy drummed her fingers on the back of the chair rung. "Still not decided on that point, but if it makes you feel any better I'm so not the tar-and-feather type."

"No way." Kennedy kept on saying that. It might not mean what she thinks it means. "Those are so cool."

"It is?" Merlin asked, frowning for a moment before--oh gee--remembering people didn't know about that nasty spot of plague. "I mean--it's different for certain."
