The whole incident with the hair had almost caused Cal to forget exactly what day this was. Monday. That meant more than just having to work at the library. That meant Rumor Girl, on the TV, and Cal was there.

Pretending to ignore it while cooking food. No burgers this time, but something just as good and Greek and handy for TV watching: souvlaki.

"Cal made food," Worf said cautiously. "And he has proven to be a loyal friend. That is all."

"So you're not a secret fan to bad tv?" She asked. "That's so sad."

"There is not much to watch on television," Worf noted. "It is largely preposterous and non-interactive."

"It does have... educational programs," Worf grumbled. "And the news is very informative."

"Eww, news," Rose made a face. Yes, that's where he lost her. "Now we need to talk about weapons or something to make up for the boring of news."

Worf frownd at Rose. "We can if you wish," he replied. "However a warrior should always be well informed of current events. You may never know how it may effect a dangerous situation."

Hopefully no one would ask Worf how Rumor Gal could be involved in a war-type situation.

She shook her head. "Not my kind. Our fights don't end up on the news. The Moroi like to fly under the radar. But I dunno-" she glanced at the tv meaningfully. "-maybe listening to rumors helps."

"Clearly your world does not have an extensive network of news squirrels," Worf noted seriously.

He may have been in Fandom too long.

"No," Worf said seriously. "However it would not be difficult to make a small robotic device that would be able to infiltrate an environment and gather information."

"Does that happen a lot?" She asked, reluctantly curious.

"Not yet," Worf said thoughtfully. "However I believe it is possible with my world's technology."

"Or maybe you could introduce squirrels instead," she teased.

"I doubt that the squirrels would be able to perform their duties in our world," Worf replied. "And I doubt they would respond to our synthehol version of rum."

"Fake rum?" She gasped. "That would be a terrible tragedy. Poor squirrels. That'd be so sad."

"Which would be why a robotic or android squirrel would be superior," Worf noted. "Less chance of inaccurate information.No innuendo and no throwing acorns.

"Damn squirrels," Rose growled, all sympathy for them gone. "Did Kennedy tell you about how they kidnapped us! We totally could've taken 'em but they kept throwing those damn nuts!"

"I would think a warrior such as yourself would be able to handle such rodents," Worf said smugly. "When I was on radio they ran in fear."
