Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday Noonish
Hurley was making himself lunch in the common room. While he debated amongst his options, he eventually decided on making a really big sandwich with lots of meat, lettuce, and cheese. While he built this behemoth of a sandwich, he had on the TV, which was playing an episode of Mythbusters.
Where they were exploding a pair of pants.
He didn't know why, but explosions were cool.

She just wished her nerves would be kind to her stomach.
Not finding him in his room, she made her way to the common room, the second place she knew to look, and paused in the doorway when her eyes settled on him. She didn't realize she made a noise when she sucked in air.
"Hurley." Ten thousand nerves seemed to prick her vocal cords at that one single, whispered name.

He stared a little, in a bit of disbelief.
"Penelope?" he said, his voice also caught in his throat a bit.

He'd actually been starting to feel like he was moving on, the past couple days. Now... that just made him feel a little guilty, now that she was right there.
"Just... double sure, you know?"

She took a few steps inside the room, towards his general direction. "You are not dreaming, I assure you. It's really me and I'm really here." She tried to hold eye contact with him. "To stay."

She moved to the sink to fill a kettle with water. "I listened to the CD you made for me and enjoyed it a great deal," she continued. "Thank you again for it."

"I will have to visit the store and purchase some more works by some of the artists," she said, setting the kettle on the stove.

"Sure," Ino said after a moment's thought about that. "I'm pretty fond of explosions in general, anyway, and this way everyone can enjoy them so I can ooze enthusiasm all I want. How're you?"
