5th Floor Common Room -- Sunday Evening

She'd managed to forget that there was a party going on until late enough that she'd have felt sort of weird showing up—not to mention 'bout the fact that Ino was a bit weirded out by the idea of showing up at some strange grown-up's place for a party—and so, with her Santa hat perched jauntily on her head, she'd wandered into her common room to make hot chocolate.

It was totally seasonal. And so was the candy cane she was nibbling on. The candy was obviously the best part of this holiday, especially for someone who only had the vaguely concept of what the holiday entailed beyond 'shiny presents'.

But presents? Were pretty awesome too. She leaned against the counter and sipped her hot chocolate idly.

"Oh, that's too bad. Since, you know, this mug of hot chocolate I'm making is for Ino..."

[intraspective]

"And I, as Amy, have your cookies held hostage," she reminded him. "surely that's worth a hot chocolate?"

"Oh, those cookies? They're poisoned." Ignore the fact that he'd eaten one earlier.

[intraspective]

"That's okay," she said, "I'm immune."

No, no she wasn't.

"Oh, good." Jaime smirked. "That means I won't have to give you any of this antidote hot chocolate." That was for Ino anyway.

[intraspective]

"Excellent," she crooned. "And I'll just go 'bout poisoning others with your cookies."

[weldedtomyspine]

"How dastardly of you," Jaime snorted. "I'll have to make more antidote hot chocolate and give it to everyone but you."

[intraspective]

"And then I'll steal your antidote and keep it all to myself!"

[weldedtomyspine]

"Yeeeeah... no." Jaime poured her a mug and held it out.

[intraspective]

"I win!" she carolled and went to snag the mug.

"You're right, Amy, you've won." He wasn't ever going to stop calling her that.

[intraspective]

Well, Leda already called her Amy. Ino really didn't mind what people called her.

(As long as she had a say in it, somewhere.)

"So," she said, "that means I am way more awesome than you."

[weldedtomyspine]

"Oh." Jaime smirked. "You haven't tasted my hot chocolate." He'd stolen the recipe from his mom, and she was an awesome cook.

[intraspective]

"Is this the poison version or the antidote one?"

[weldedtomyspine]

"Let's see if you can tell the difference," Jaime taunted.

[intraspective]

"I could throw it at you and see if it sends you fleeing for an antidote?"

And yet, she was going to take a sip.

"Mmmmmm."

[weldedtomyspine]

"Now who's awesome?" Look! He even did an awesome pose!

[intraspective]

"Your hot chocolate?" she answered, grinning.

[weldedtomyspine]

"You," Jaime accused, shaking an accusing finger at her, "are too stingy with your compliments. See if I ever give you hot chocolate again."

[intraspective]

Fiiine.

"I only compliment those I know well," she said archly. "But I promise then that I'm a very good complimenter."

[weldedtomyspine]

"Liar," he accused again. But he was grinning in obvious amusement.

[intraspective]

"But are you going to come 'round again to see for sure?"

[weldedtomyspine]

"No need. You told me yourself, after all." That was probably a yes.

[intraspective]

She certainly took it as a yes.

"Oh good," Ino smiled. "I'll be seeing you, then."

[weldedtomyspine]

"You have to put marshmallows in it to get the full effect," Jaime countered.
