Yuletide Party! - By the Dorms, Monday Dusk Till Dawn
Between the dorms and preserve, a moderately sized--if only because dragging over more wood than was already stockpiled nearby was far too much work--fire was lit as the sun set and the longest night of the year began. In the main lobby and by the fire there were much larger supplies of spiced cider and ale.
...look, people in ye olde times really liked to get drunk and light things on fire. It was a time honored tradition.

Re: By The Fire
... are you really asking Karla for romantic advice for Katchoo and Francine, Arthur?
Re: By The Fire
Re: By The Fire
Night, Arthur. Katchoo had asked for a nice night.
Re: By The Fire
Inwardly, Karla was flailing. A nice time out? By whose definition? And where? Mother Night, she wasn't even from this world!
"I, err, always like the theater," Karla suggested a little lamely. "And somewhere with bookshops?"
Because finding a place with a theater and a bookshop would really narrow down Arthur's search.

Re: By The Fire
"There's always Lost Vegas!" she said, abruptly remembering a show she'd caught on the teevee. "They have lots of hotels and a circus I think. Oh! And a bunch of wedding chapels! That must mean it's romantic!"
Re: By The Fire
It was the blind and aristocratic leading the blind and aristocratic.
Re: By The Fire
It all made perfect sense, really.
Re: By The Fire
No, Arthur, you just implied it.
"But fair enough. Thank you." That was to be blamed on the ale.
Re: By The Fire
"And you're welcome," she added, because she wasn't about to let Arthur out-manner her. "I...appreciated being asked."
Re: By The Fire
They'd probably be able to kill with the amount of civility in this conversation. "Are you enjoying the celebration otherwise?" Take that.
Re: By The Fire
Re: By The Fire
Yes, because Uther Pendragon would have livened up this place. Really. "I at least have my foster sister here, at present."
He'd be back to clawing at Morgana's hair in a minute.
Re: By The Fire
"He does remind me of my cousin Morton some. Who is blood-related to me."
Just. Saying.
Re: By The Fire
Arthur had a feeling she was trying to Say Something. He was just... going with it. "Considering."
Re: By The Fire
So she tried again.
"I've never had a brother before. I'm surprised how easily these very fraternal feelings came to me," she continued, trying not to grit her teeth. "And how impossible they are to mistake for anything else."
Re: By The Fire
Give it another moment.
Maybe two.
"Ah," he said, finally. "Well. Of course."
Oh Christ, she knew.
Re: By The Fire
"That's all I wanted to say," Karla said quietly. "Since we were discussing family and all."
Okay, so the odds that Arthur would read into that the intended statement of, "I'm sorry and I won't say anything to anyone, please don't worry," but that's what she meant.
Re: By The Fire
Re: By The Fire
Really.
Re: By The Fire
He got up.
Re: By The Fire
Re: By The Fire
Oh, Arthur was chalking that one up as a win.
