Playing with wee Tony the afternoon before had been enough to convince Jack he should watch the entire Space Battles trilogy. It seemed to be valuable cultural knowledge ... and apparently it had a princess tied up while wearing a gold bikini in it.

He ordered a few pizzas in case some of the lurking children needed to be fed, took a slice of pizza with extra cheese, and settled onto the couch in the common room as the DVD started to play.

"It's 1900 at home," Jack shared in return. "I've seen scraps of the movies in the common rooms over the last year, but never start to finish."

"I think you've got me beat, there," Warren replied. "I'm from not too far in the future, actually. So even the really bad prequels are inching their way into being considered classics."

Seriously. Whoever had the bright idea to create that tall fish-looking thing with the speech impediment really should have been fired. Even if that somebody was George Lucas.

"Taking that into consideration, you're probably not missing out on all that much." A beat. "Have I missed any good parts?"

"I'm not sure. It's a lot of noise to me," Jack admitted. "I keep getting distracted looking after the children, you know?"

"But," he added, looking disappointed, "no one's showed up in a gold bikini yet. Tony made it sound key to the film."

"Gold bikini?" Warren blinked toward the TV. Nope, there was totally no gold bikini there. Some guy in an ugly helmet and cape combo, but no bikini. "Are you sure he was talking about this movie? It really doesn't look like the type for that sort of thing."

He couldn't help but look somewhat disappointed too, of course.

"It really doesn't, does it?" Jack said, shaking his head. "I think so. Dinah had to be a princess, and Tony was the hero. Dinah got it all on her phone, by the way."

Just in case Warren was in need of entertainment some night.

"Oh?" Warren continued to look intrigued, at that. "I haven't really spent much time with either of them, but that certainly sounds like it would be an interesting video to take in."

'Interesting' was not the word that Warren could have used, there.

"I'm mostly going to use it to torture Tony with," Jack admitted.

He was such a good friend.

"He's eight, and he's ordering both of us around and hitting at me with a stick. I might send it to his film school."
