5th floor common room - noonish
No classes today meant that Jake had been sleeping in (not that this was a new concept). He'd woken up eventually, stomach grumbling and well... he needed food. Honestly, that wasn't a new concept either.
Instead of going to buy something in town however, he'd found some eggs and bacon and was making food. The television in the common room was on and tuned to the Formula 1 practice race because this time of the day, there was little interesting on. For him anyway.
[No work is fun.]

"Are you cooking?" Bod didn't really care if he was stating the obvious here. It was just something he'd picked up on. "I didn't know you could cook."

"It's nothing fancy. Just edible and you don't get sick from it," he continued more seriously.

Bod had no such list and had no intention of making Jacob cook for him unless it was offered and he hadn't already eaten.
"It's more than I know how to do," he added. "I can manage toast and things in the microwave but anything beyond that is unfamiliar. It smells good though."

He supposed he could do some extracurricular studying but there was just...so many other things to do, most of them more interesting and fresh to him.
"But, if eggs are truly that easy, maybe it'll give me more of an incentive to get up early. I should learn to cook some things for myself. Silas isn't here to bring me takeout anymore."

... Yes, she'd stored some pudding cups in this floor's fridge earlier in the week. No reason.
The TV got a glance. "Eww." She was such a chick sometimes.

Kate, of course, could recount entire episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, so she probably shouldn't have judged anyone when it came to television.

Just so that was clear. He wasn't going to watch some chick show.

He smiled at first and watched her path to the refrigerator. He stayed quiet until she was closer and then said, "Hullo, Kate. You look intent about something in that appliance."

"Hi. Yeah. Pudding cups."

So it was a still sleepy Ariel, red bedhead and a pink nightgown, who shuffled into the common room, looking for what smelled yummy.

"Morning," he said. "Not that it's morning, but who cares?"
