Main Campfire, Monday Evening

Okay, so today had admittedly not been the most productive day that Zack had ever had. He'd skipped work today after having the meaning of Memorial Day explained to him by the gym teacher, and then he'd handwavily headed down to the graveyard. Angeal wasn't there, no, but it was about as close as he was going to get, and the time to just sit quietly and pay his respects had been good for him.

Now, to wrap the day up, he'd grabbed some marshmallows, bars of chocolate, and graham crackers, and he was working on getting a decently sized fire going.

Okay, so Zack's idea of a 'decently sized' fire was possibly not what most sane people considered to be one. He'd heaped the logs on kind of ridiculously high, and then he'd lit that sucker with a Fira spell. The result had singed his eyebrows a little at first, but hey, all the better for making s'mores, right?

... Once he blew out the marshmallow fire.

"I do have an adorable boyfriend. I was just discussing your adorableness and the merits of your mussable hair the other day, in fact," she said, already snagging a marshmallow for him. "But what'll you give me for my troubles?"

"Oh reeeeeeally? With who?" Bobby said, smirk widening slightly at Sookie's words. "Hmmm," he tapped his chin thoughtfully, and then proceeded to dig through his pockets. "I've got... A Canadian dime, a mint, and a ticket stub from the Steel Person 2 movie."

That was totally a completely fair offer, yes.

"I...am not sure what I'd do with any of that but the mint," she said, "and I'm already eating a s'more. I reject your offer. And it was with Rinoa," she said helpfully.

"You could buy bacon with the dime," Bobby suggested. "Canadian bacon."

"But only a little bitty bit of it," she noted. "Bacon -- even Canadian bacon -- doesn't cost just a dime!"

"We could time travel to the early 1900s!" Bobby suggested. Because this was completely reasonable.

"Hmm. Can we buy other things while there?" she wondered. "I've always wanted a big hat from the turn of the century."

"We totally can," Bobby nodded. "I want a monocle."

"Classy," she remarked. "Okay. I will take the dime and a promise of time travel in exchange for one toasted marshmallow. If you want me to get chocolate or graham crackers, you'll have to do better."

Great, now he had to find someone who could take them to early 20th century Canada. How could he possibly manage that?

"How about a movie ticket? A non-used one, I mean?"

"To see a movie? By myself?" she asked, just a little poutily.

"Of course not by yourself," Bobby scoffed.

"My goodness, are you talking about an actual date? One that doesn't take place in a no-sleeping fort?" she asked, grinning at him.

"I miiiiiight be," he bumped her shoulder gently. "Or maybe I mean you could go with Karla. Since you two are gonna elope and all." No, no he did not mean that.

"We are. She even gave me jewelry," she said, lightly touching the little bitty blue stone at her throat. "Not quite a ring, but I'll take it. So hey, I might have to check with my betrothed."

"Jewelry?" Bobby groaned theatrically. "Man, she is some stiff competition. Clearly I am going to have to up my game, here."

"I know. But she can't cook, so...oh, wait, neither can you. Hmm. You might be tied," Sookie said, tapping her chin.
