Main Campfire [evening]

So, yeah, Puck was a little on the tipsy side. He'd gotten drunk in his alcove, though, like a person who didn't want to get in trouble.

Such an occasion, of course, called for fire. Sadly this was pretty typical back in Lima, too, where there weren't even firepits. On the bright side, that meant he was able to light a fire pretty effectively.

And now he had a bag of procured marshmallows, which, okay, he'd toast. But more importantly, he'd found a box of Peeps left over from Easter and was meticulously shooting them, throwing them, launching them and otherwise flinging them into the fire to make them alternately blow up or melt. So far, more were melting than blowing up, really, but if it worked in a microwave, Puck was sure it had to work even better in a fire.

[oooopen yes.]

Helen took it gingerly, sniffing it and turning it over in her hand. "How odd."

She tossed it into the fire, watching as it melted down over the wood. "Is there some ritual or some such to this?"

"Ah," she said smiling back. "May I have another then?"

Helen smiled at him, almost shyly, and took two more of the peeps from the box. She broke the first one into pieces and threw the bits into the fire, watching them melt - and in one case explode.
