Main Campfire [evening]

So, yeah, Puck was a little on the tipsy side. He'd gotten drunk in his alcove, though, like a person who didn't want to get in trouble.

Such an occasion, of course, called for fire. Sadly this was pretty typical back in Lima, too, where there weren't even firepits. On the bright side, that meant he was able to light a fire pretty effectively.

And now he had a bag of procured marshmallows, which, okay, he'd toast. But more importantly, he'd found a box of Peeps left over from Easter and was meticulously shooting them, throwing them, launching them and otherwise flinging them into the fire to make them alternately blow up or melt. So far, more were melting than blowing up, really, but if it worked in a microwave, Puck was sure it had to work even better in a fire.

"That's kind of beautiful," Didi announced from the edge of the campfire. She'd spent a few minutes watching Puck play with the Peeps. "In a random tasty destruction sort of way. Hi."

"Wanna try?" Puck asked, holding up the box of Peeps towards her from where he was lounging against a log. Yeah, he wasn't getting up, but he could share. Especially with hot goth chicks.

"Sure," Didi decided easily, and reached in to take two bunnies -- one to eat, one to toss into the fire. "Do you think they taste better if you eat the heads first, or last?"

Helen was feeling restless and had been out wandering when she saw the campfire and made her way over. She had no idea what Puck was doing, but he seemed fairly happy about it.

"What are those things?"

"Peeps. They're stale so I'm burning them," Puck said by way of happy explanation. "Wanna try? Sometimes they explode but otherwise they just melt all over and they're pretty colors anyway."

"They are... edible?" she asked, peering at the melting results in the fire. "Or were?"

"Oh, the peep-manity," Peter deadpanned, sitting down at the fire. "Won't someone think of the children?"

"Peep-manity?" She'd thought she was starting to understand this place.

"It sounded better in my head than Peepity," Peter said. "I take it you're not up on the Hindenberg disaster?"

"They're stale," Puck replied, glancing over at him. "They're past their prime. I'm putting 'em out of their miseries."

"I wish I still had some of my fireworks. It'd be interesting to see what happens when you stuff a cherry bomb in one of those," Peter said.

"They generally don't melt as well when tossed over a fire," Karla deadpanned back.

"And now we've wandered into cannibalism," Peter said. "And here I am, without any fava beans."

He smirked at her. "Sorry I've not shown up at the last few of those reserve meeting things."

"Kind of a waste of sugar," Tim observed.

"So is throwing slushies in people's faces," Puck replied nonchalantly as he threw another Peep into the fire. "Didn't care then, either. Pretty sure there's more sugar out there."

"Agent Drake," Peter joked, because it still amused him. "Nice to see you again."

"You sharing?" Ellie asked with a grin as she approached the campfire.

"With you? Always." Puck held up the bag of marshmallows and the box of Peeps. "You wanna throw tiny birds into a fire? Or just toast a marshmallow?"

"If he's not, we could always beat him up and take them," Peter joked. "Hey Ellie."

"Oh my god! What are you doing to those poor, defenseless Peeps?" yelped Harper, who had been walking by when she observed something horrible. She'd never had the courage to put Peeps in the microwave with their sad little eye staring back at her.

"They're past their prime. I'm doing them a favor." Had Puck not been slightly drunk, this would not have been an argument. But. That wasn't the case, was it?

Peter raised an eyebrow.

"I'm not sure if you're joking or not," he told her.

Karla was bored bored bored. So when she saw the group of people hanging out by the campfire, she decided to head over there and hang out. "Kiss kiss," she called, giving a half-hearted wave to the collected group.
