Main Campfire [evening]

So, yeah, Puck was a little on the tipsy side. He'd gotten drunk in his alcove, though, like a person who didn't want to get in trouble.

Such an occasion, of course, called for fire. Sadly this was pretty typical back in Lima, too, where there weren't even firepits. On the bright side, that meant he was able to light a fire pretty effectively.

And now he had a bag of procured marshmallows, which, okay, he'd toast. But more importantly, he'd found a box of Peeps left over from Easter and was meticulously shooting them, throwing them, launching them and otherwise flinging them into the fire to make them alternately blow up or melt. So far, more were melting than blowing up, really, but if it worked in a microwave, Puck was sure it had to work even better in a fire.

[oooopen yes.]

"About seventy years ago," Peter said. "You must be from another world."

Or really not into history, he'd admit that too.

"Oh yes," Helen said relaxing somewhat. "I am from another world, indeed. Another series of worlds actually."

"Moved a lot as a kid?" Peter said, just rolling with it. It seemed almost insane, but he was getting used to that sort of thing.

"No. Banished when I discovered that demons were controlling my world. I was forced to travel from world to world Walking the Bounds," Helen said, with an edge of bitterness. "We destroyed them and drove them out eventually, all of us Homeward Bounders, but it cost all of us a great deal."

"I'm not sure I understood most of that," Peter said. "But my condolences." He couldn't truly empathize, it was way out of his realm of experience. "Peter Bishop, nice to meet you."

"Helen Haras-Uquara," she responded. "Nice to meet you as well, Peter. And don't worry. Very few understand much of it unless they lived it."

"So this place must seem like a vacation in comparison," he said. "Looking at the bright side."

"I will admit to never having this much free time," Helen said with a bit of a smile. "Nor the ability to choose what I wished to do."
