Laser Bear Campfire, Thursday Evening

Just because he had a fondness for ice didn't mean Bobby hated things like campfires. Because campfires? Meant junk food. And Bobby Drake was always up for junk food.

So there was a cooler of (amazingly) cold sodas to one side, and a good sized pile of various junk foods as well.

Currently, Bobby was experimenting with roasting a Twinkie on a stick, but there were definitely the more traditional s'mores fixings to be found as well.

[ooc: open like a campfire with totally moddable food.]

Peter concentrated hard, thinking of fresh red apples.

That seemed off-the-cuff enough that she couldn't simply guess. Not that he was still skeptical that it was a genuine gift of her's.

"I like apples a lot," Sookie noted as though thinking about it. "Though I'm partial to green ones, personally. They work better in pies."

Peter almost thought that was too easy.

So he started thinking about bananas.

And a rhinoceros.

"Bananas are yummy, too. I put them in puddings at home," Sookie noted, "and it's great. And did you know that a bunch of rhinos is called a crash? I learned that the other day. Though I'm not sure if rhinos also like bananas. That's something to ask someone with more zoological knowledge."

"Amazing," Peter said. "I have to ask, what is it like? Are you seeing the pictures in my head like a movie, or is it like I'm just listing off my thoughts in a narration?"

"Mostly pictures," she said, thinking about it. "And emotions. I pick up emotions and the pictures associated with them. If you think a clear sentence, I'll hear that too, but it's mostly -- muddled. Most people don't think that clearly."

[don't mind me, I lost this thread, la.]

"So if you tried to read Walter's mind, it'd probably hit you like a epileptic's nightmare of images," Peter thought. "At least, I think it might. He's hard to read on just a normal basis."

"Most normal humans won't give me a headache or anything," she said thoughtfully. "Unless there's a lot of y'all. And supernatural folks get kinda fuzzy. But someone who's -- say, ADD or has mental problems? Their thoughts are really hard to keep track of. I shield a lot around those people." She thought of Terry Bellefleur back at home, and how much she never wanted to look in his head.

"So just make sure next term to avoid anything taught by Walter Bishop," Peter said. "As much as I'd like to share a class, I think your mental well-being comes in."
