The dorm freight elevator, Wednesday evening

Scully had been looking for a way to move trebuchet parts (or the whole trebuchet, once they started re-building it) up onto the roof if they needed to. And found a freight elevator that she hadn't realized was there in the dorms.

And now she was stuck in it. Yelling.

"HEY! ANYONE! CALL SECURITY! CALL THE JANITOR! GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

[welcome to Meet Cute. Feel free to try to get her out. And/or get stuck in there with her.]

Lion-o, who seemed to have a sixth sense for this sort of thing, had been heading back to his room when he heard a noise. He followed the shouting until he reached the freight elevator.

"Hello? Does someone need help?" he shouted.

Judging by the direction of the sound, Lion-o thought she may just be one floor down from him. At least, he hoped it was only one floor.

"Try to stay calm!" he shouted back. "Have you tried pressing the 'open door' button?"

Well, so much for that plan.

"Do you know what floor you're stuck on? Or maybe you're between floors?" asked Lion-o as he studied the door mechanism. He wasn't as mechanically inclined as Panthro, but he figured he could force the doors open if necessary.

"Third floor! You sound like you're at least one floor down from here," said Lion-o, frowning as he pondered his options.

[identity profile] lordofthecats.livejournal.com 2010-07-08 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
"I can probably get the doors open!" shouted Lion-o. "Do you think you could climb out the top if I climbed down and helped you?"

"Hang on while I get something to pry these doors open," said Lion-o. "Stay put, okay?"

Yeah, his ability to think under pressure only went so far.

Lion-o was back minutes later, crowbar in hand. "Are you still there?" he asked as he jammed the crowbar between the elevator doors.

heromaniac: (hello door)

Momoko frowned, following the sounds of what seemed like someone calling for help.

...

"When did we get a freight elevator?" The hollering was definitely coming from inside it, though. "Hello! Is the elevator stuck?"
heromaniac: (Lame!)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-07-08 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course not, it's for moving furniture and stuff, not for people. Why does furniture need air conditioning?" Momoko hollered back, then stepped back and considered the elevator door.
heromaniac: (Laughter)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-07-08 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
"You're new aren't you?" Momoko chuckled as she continued to see what she could do to help.
heromaniac: (thinking)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-07-08 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
"No, I think you're the first. Or at least the first I've heard?" Momoko decided to try something - she got her fingers at the door join and tried to pry it open. It didn't move more than a small fraction. "The door is shut tight! I'm probably going to have to transform. Hold on?"
heromaniac: (huh what)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-07-08 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Momoko already had her Power Compact in her hand and flipped open. "One floor up from where? What floor are you stuck on?" Maybe that's why the door wouldn't budge - some sort of safety feature? "Is it a repairman? I don't want to interfere if he's already working on it!"
heromaniac: (followed)

[personal profile] heromaniac 2010-07-08 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
Another student? "On third? Okay, I'll head up there and see if I can help." She pondered her power compact a moment longer, then replaced it and headed to the stairwell. If she needed to, she could transform later.
