3rd Floor Common Room [Thursday Evening]

Bobby had nachos.

Lots of nachos.

More nachos than could possibly be eaten by one teenage boy, even a teenage boy with a ridiculous metabolism.

Which is why Bobby (and the nachos) were out in the common room with a Z-Cases rerun playing. The one about the zombie mutant killer mosquitoes.

"Did you get a visit from the nacho fairy?" Sookie asked with a giggle as she wandered in.

"Yes," Bobby declared, trying to keep his face straight. "She says if I'm really good, next time she'll leave enchiladas."

"How many Mexican food wishes did she grant you?" she wondered.

"Um," Bobby tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Just the one to start. But the promise of more for good behavior."

"Is she like Santa?" she wondered. "Keeping a list of who's bad and good so she can reward with tacos or whatever?"

"Yes," Bobby decided. "That is totally how she works."

"And watching quality entertainment like this counts as good behavior, right?" she checked.

Scully was heading back down the hall after visiting Claudia, and paused when she smelled something delicious. Then blinked at the TV. "I don't think I've seen this one...." Although she was having a horrifying case of deja vu.

"Oh man!" Bobby said, bouncing a little in his seat on the couch. "It's amazing. The mosquitoes are zombies."

"Mosquitos can't be zombies," Scully objected, sucked in despite herself, wandering over to flop onto a chair, eyes glued to the screen. "How would you zombify a bug? Ohh, ew." She really didn't need to see that.

"Oh man," Bobby made a face. "That was- ew sounds about right."

"What are we watching? And are the nachos for everyone?" Scully asked, hopeful, tearing her eyes away from the screen. "Assuming I can eat after seeing someone get cocooned."

"Z-Cases," Bobby informed her. "And the nacho fairy does not discriminate. There are indeed nachos for everyone."

"Thank you, Nacho Fairy." That just sounded very amusing and wrong, so Scully had to grin at Bobby for that, as she reached for one of the nacho plates, and started to nibble. "This must be newer than 1999, then. Although, I wasn't watching TV much before I left. Oh oh oh, why did he think closing the vents would help?!"

Roy and his own teenage boy metabolism had followed the smell of cheese to this common room. "Bobby! What's happening, 'mano?"

"The nacho fairy," Bobby declared, "has bestowed a gift upon me. A gift which I am willing to share." A pause. "Also, there's mutant zombie mosquitoes."

Roy paused mid-reaching for a nacho. "In the nachos?"

"Nooooo," Bobby drawled. "On the TV!"

"Oh, well, that's okay," Roy decided, and took a nacho. Then he paused for thought. "How would a mosquito be a zombie? They're too little for anything to bite them. Or...for you to tell, really, I'd think."

Just watch. Someone would be threatening to release them on the populace in Gotham next week.

"Except then they bite people and then make them into zombies," Bobby pointed out. "That is how you tell."

Scully had a mouthful of nacho cheese, so she waved to Roy, then pointed to the TV screen in horror as yet another lumberjack was sucked dry, face crumpling up like a zombie-mummy-mutant.

"Oh, hey, Dana," Roy said, waving back. Then he looked at the TV screen and said, "Whoa."

Scully swallowed. "The effects on this show are horrifyingly realistic. Well, if there were mutant zombie mosquitos... nacho?" she offered.

Roy tilted his head as he studied the screen. "I guess," he decided. "If there were mutant zombie mosquitoes." It was the kind of thing he almost felt like he should tell Dick to ask Bruce about. You know. If he wasn't avoiding Dick. "Don't mind if I do," he said, and popped a nacho in his mouth. He was polite enough to chew and swallow before asking, "What've you been up to?" at least.

Scully dipped another chip in the cheese. "Working at the Clinic. Getting stuck in an elevator yesterday, that was fun. Turning into a completely goofy version of myself a few weeks back... that didn't happen to you, did it?"
