The Roof, Wednesday Afternoon
With the reserve meeting canceled, after her morning class Raven retreated to the roof to meditate. She was still on edge after what had happened last night. She'd kept enough control to not turn on her friends, but her demon side had been far too easily provoked by Karla's life being in danger.
And the lust. Awkward didn't begin to describe it. Meditation was desperately called for.
She sat cross-legged near the garden, eyes closed as she sank into a light trance. She was still aware enough of her surroundings that she'd hear if someone else came up on the roof. The sun was bright and it was almost 100°F out, but she was able to heal any damage the sun did to her skin immediately. Who needed sunscreen?
She was also wondering how she was going to explain all of this to Anakin tomorrow without mentioning the word "orgy."

And she still wasn't sure she would have ever been able to go through with it. But catch her admitting that.
"You, um." Oh, look, discretion got tired of hanging around. "The kissing thing. That's not a required technique for healing for you, is it?" See, she'd been unconscious that one time...
no subject
Kissing was totally not necessary. Or tongue.

"You realize this is the second time I've seen you in a crisis-type situation that's involved playing tonsil hockey with Karla, right?"
She was lifting Tara out of the carrier and setting her down to run around if she wanted to, but she was looking squarely and inquisitively at Raven as she spoke.
"So I kinda have to wonder. What's up with that? 'cause damn, I thought I was a pretty good kisser, but you guys are starting to make me feel like I could aim for more impressive results." Tara had started to scurry a few feet away but paused and looked back at Kennedy, almost reproachfully, drawing a hasty amendment of "Hey, not saying I don't love the results I do get!"
Oh god, saying that to a guinea pig was just weird.

That much had been true, so she wasn't lying, at least.
"That is why I asked Bobby to cool me down," she went on. "I had feared that I would soon attempt to take inappropriate actions with the rest of you. It was certainly not the time or the place for such things. Not that I thought there was a time and place. It would have been inappropriate at any time were I to attempt to take such liberties with you or Sookie or Bobby or Emma or...the vampire."
Stop babbling, Raven.

Oh, good, Kennedy. Push the subject and make her babble more.
...wait. You're good at that.

"Your 'look at me, I'm imitating a fire engine' routine right now? That sort of kills the 'merely,' you know," she pointed out. "I mean, hey. I'm not gonna judge or anything."
She did, however, look a little worried. "But, complicated situation. I get that."

"I have no intention of meddling in Karla's relationship with Warren," Raven said. "What happened in Bon Temps was a mistake, it was wrong, and I will not allow such a thing to occur again."

"When you went all..." Kennedy gestured vaguely at her face. "Before, I mean. Then you were okay again, after that. Must've been a hell of a kiss."
no subject
She didn't need to say what kind of positive emotion she'd been feeling, did she?
no subject
"I'll remember that one," Kennedy remarked, more to say something than out of any deliberate intent to do so. "The place was pretty wacky with negative emotion at the time."
no subject
She'd transformed before then, but it certainly hadn't helped.

A moment of distraction ensued when Tara started nosing at her finger and Kennedy bopped that nose lightly before digging a treat out of her pocket for the guinea pig to nibble on. "You did good," Kennedy said finally. "Saved all our asses there."

"Boy Scout's useful that way."

Oh, sure you were, Kennedy.

Because yeah. Vampire.
"I've kinda been watching my phone like crazy?"

Tara, burrowing under her hand, seemed to agree.

Kennedy. Not helping.
