The Deck -- Late Saturday Morning
If you listened to radio, there were apparently certain... rumors going around that one Emma Grace Frost was 'Difficult.'
Which in no way, shape, or form, had influenced herself to throw on a white bikini and go lay out on the deck today. While diamond. Far be it from Emma to be that spiteful.
She was simply trying to relax enough to change back. Really. Seeing how many rainbows she could cause or freaking out her fellow classmates was simply a side-bonus.
[OOC: Open deck, open post! I'm at woooooooork and should be amused.]

Which was--weird. While Emma was contentious: case in point, insulting poor Zack (who didn't look very insulted, it had to be admitted), Ino had never had her pretend she couldn't hear telepathy in order to make someone speak.
Which left her with... what? The puppy who decided now would be an excellent time to lick her chin was utterly no use, even though it did make Ino smile. Clearly, further telepathy was out of the question--at least if she wanted to avoid having Emma in a thoroughly bad mood at her--and Ino highly doubted that Emma would go for texts or anything like that. Charades?
Or she could speak. Ino grimaced slightly. It would be the easiest route, but she wasn't really in the mood. Even if, looking at the puppy who was making his home on her lap, she knew it'd make Zack happy if she did as well.
"It's Zack," she replied, her voice quiet. "And you can't hear me?"
The important questions. Maybe if she was direct she could go back to being silent sooner.

"It's mildly vexing."

"Odd," Ino answered, toying with Zack's fur absently. Odd and annoying even if she... should probably be talking. If nothing else, the way it made Zack happy was worth it, now. "Are you like that--forever? Traded one power for another?"

Which made Ino a bit sulky. She'd like some zen thoughts, really.
"You'll just have to... make your own, I guess."

"He's not the problem," Ino replied. "At least, him being like this ain't one." It was cute. It was a bit of a relief. "Too many things goin' on and none of them simple, you know?"

"You look smashing for someone who has had a building dropped on them," she said, finally, casting a glance through her bangs to double-check that one. "And if you've got tips on how to make my problems simple, I'll take them. I don't got no clue how to do that."

And that was very very neutral because she was not going to rise to Emma's prodding.

Emma wasn't at all debating the pros-and-cons of making Ino her new Head Minion. She actually rather missed Layla's occasional usefulness.
"Zack is a dog, his issues can wait, or you can put puppy prozac in his water. Strangling people is good therapy, and normal life is dull and can be ignored. How's that?"

She snuggled Zack as he whuffed softly. "And I... I wouldn't even know where to start with... higher education. My world doesn't exactly have it."
But it was something to consider and she sounded more thoughtful than anything else.

[sorry, my dad showed up over three hours early and abducted me.]

"No way can I learn most of that in time to make a difference."

"That'd bring it's own issues," she mused. "I'd have to find a version of that world that--was runnin' that slow. It ain't... my home that I'm trying to save."
