Farewell Slumber Party, 6th Floor, Wednesday Night

By now, Karla was used to throwing parties at school. The set-up was easy enough: lots of food, lots of drinks, lots of games and activities, lots of space. There were some streamers and balloons up, mostly because Karla was trying to remind everyone (or, at least, herself) that this was supposed to be a happy occasion.

Really. It was. At least, that's what everyone kept telling her.

The important thing to keep in mind was that there would (probably) be no repeat of her last sixth floor party sadly. She had gone the safe an glitter-free route this time. Clad in her new pajamas, Karla waited for her guests to arrive.

That made Hinata laugh softly.

"That's the sort of response she likes," Hinata noted. "Have you been well since--?"

"I've been okay," Elle said. "Mostly I've just been grateful we got to her in time."

Well, not completely in time, but mostly.

"I haven't either," she admitted.

"I thought maybe it was just me, but if she hasn't talked to either of us..." Elle frowned.

"Perhaps give it a few more days," she suggested mildly. "And then start seeing if we can find her? She couldn't have gone too far, I wouldn't think."

"Good idea," Elle said with a nod. "I mean, maybe she just needed some time to get settled in wherever she went."

"And when she does get in contact with us," Hinata said, smiling slightly. "We can scold her for not leaving notes so we wouldn't worry."
