Farewell Slumber Party, 6th Floor, Wednesday Night

By now, Karla was used to throwing parties at school. The set-up was easy enough: lots of food, lots of drinks, lots of games and activities, lots of space. There were some streamers and balloons up, mostly because Karla was trying to remind everyone (or, at least, herself) that this was supposed to be a happy occasion.

Really. It was. At least, that's what everyone kept telling her.

The important thing to keep in mind was that there would (probably) be no repeat of her last sixth floor party sadly. She had gone the safe an glitter-free route this time. Clad in her new pajamas, Karla waited for her guests to arrive.

"Pick it up this semester! Jaime deserves a picnic." Lots of picnics. And she wouldn't be here for them, so... "And I bet you'd do it well, too."

"I do like planning and organizing," she admitted. "Not that a picnic takes much of that, but..."

Hinata paused and glanced at Dinah. Thanks to talking to Jaime she knew they weren't staying together.

"How are you?"

"I've.. been better," Dinah admitted. "Excited. But feeling sick and anxious and really going to miss people here." She looked down at her hands. "Trying to block that part out, though."

"Then maybe you should eat some of your cake," she suggested, with a smile to show that she was teasing but the sentiment was real enough. "Have fun, jump in the ballpit."

"I do!" Dinah's smile perked up a little. "You won't mind me texting you randomly when I get bored in a class, will you? Am asleep in History. Send help!"
