Farewell Slumber Party, 6th Floor, Wednesday Night

By now, Karla was used to throwing parties at school. The set-up was easy enough: lots of food, lots of drinks, lots of games and activities, lots of space. There were some streamers and balloons up, mostly because Karla was trying to remind everyone (or, at least, herself) that this was supposed to be a happy occasion.

Really. It was. At least, that's what everyone kept telling her.

The important thing to keep in mind was that there would (probably) be no repeat of her last sixth floor party sadly. She had gone the safe an glitter-free route this time. Clad in her new pajamas, Karla waited for her guests to arrive.

[Yay for slumber parties. For girls only (and our honorary girl for the evening), up early for great SP justice. Please hold for OCD up!]

"Karla-san!" She greeted, grinning from ear to ear. "I hope you don't mind I crashed your party!"

"Good company and free food? I'll never turn that down, Karla-san!"

"Oh, well, '-san' is actually an honorific," Asuna explained with a chuckle, wondering how she'd explain. "Japan is a very formal country, you see. It is a big no-no if I were to call you 'Karla' after we just met, I have to add '-san' as a way to show respect. You could say '-san' means 'Miss or Mister' then '-san' eventually evolves to '-chan' or '-kun' or just simply saying the name when they become good friends."

Asuna grinned then shook her head.

"I did notice it at first," she admitted. "But I got used to it, it's a lot harder for me to stop using the honorifics though."

She will eventually, she wasn't exactly the picture of a normal Japanese girl.
