Third Floor Common Room, Monday Morning
Kate had not been pleased to find herself still a dude when she'd woken up today. It wasn't that she had a huge problem with it as such herself, it was just that she was kind of worried for the sanity of a certain someone else.
But there was nothing she could really do about it, so she'd just wandered down into the common room and decided it was a day for baking. Everyone would appreciate chocolate chip muffins, right?
(Kate, by the by, was not mature enough to not laugh at the fact that they had nuts in them.)
A couple of batches of muffins baked and set on the counter to be taken, she flopped down onto one of the couches and started leafing through an issue of Cosmo. Trying to see if she could get a male perspective on it today.
[ooc: Yes, you guessed it, it's an open common room!]

But at least she wasn't the only one who hadn't changed over in here now.

"Hey", said as he racked his brains trying to remember her name. It wasn't going so well. "I'm Cloud." A beat. "I'm still getting used at the whole meeting new people thing." It had only taken...how many moths? Tifa would call it an astounishing progress.

"Has people...changed before?"

Hinata looked a bit amused. "But it didn't happen all at once. The boys got hit, and then a little bit later, the girls did."

"You weren't affected...I hope?"

"Last year I was," Hinata admitted. "I feel glad that it has missed me this time."
And she could feel bad for all of those it had changed this year.
"I th-think," she offered, "that it is one of the things that the island likes to do on a schedule of it's own."

"No need to add more, then." Some people took it better than others. Cloud? He would have been some piece of work.
"The idea of the island liking things...is disturbing, at least." Did it like dead piranhas? Singing flowers? Someone should be doing a chart right now. "Although", and here he was, thinking outside the box. "An island should get bored easily from time to time."

Though, from some of the distances, their island could haul ass when it wanted to.

"Maybe it will do it again sometime?" He surely wanted to be there for that.

And where had the time gone?
