Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday evening

Bruce could be out of his room without feeling the need to find a more private place with the first person he saw. It was a good feeling. A good enough feeling that Bruce was willing to actually risk messing with the television in the common room again. But first? Threats.

"If you act up on me, I will end you," Bruce whispered while kneeling in front of the set. "There's a window right there. I will throw you out of it. You will be destroyed. And then I'll buy a new TV for the floor. I can afford something that will make you look like you're a black and white set. Nobody will miss you. So behave, or you'll force me to prove that I'm serious."

Bruce settled into a seat on the sofa and turned on PBS. It worked just fine. "I'm glad we could come to this arrangement," Bruce said with a bit of a smirk.

Good job badgering the inanimate object into working, Bruce.

[OOC: Much like the writing utensil I use exclusively for writing the third vowel, this post is open.]

"Dude, go easy on the poor guy. He's a hardworking piece of technology and he deserves our respect."

Also hi Bruce!

"Has it been a nasty little boy?" Oh, it was on. And she smiled a bit too. "Me? Pretty good, enjoying the life while I can. You? Any other piece of machinery has been giving you a hard time today?"

That was odd...but then again, it was Fandom. "What did you do to the television first, I wonder? Or it was hatred at first sight? And good, because it wouldn't really end well if you go around scaring people."

"Best interrogator ever?" The amused tone should be enough to let Bruce know Zatanna wasn't buying it, not entirely.

"Hm, crime fighter?" Because Zee had plans. "Would you do the vigilante gig? With a cape and everything?"

[identity profile] talks-backwards.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"It would just keep getting in the way, I guess." Although she had seen the superheroes from back home, and they didn't seem to mind the cape. "And community work it's the best way of fight crime and stuff, because nobody gets hurt."

"...Point." Everything had to do with people getting hurt on Bruce's city. "At least...be cautious?"

Elphaba greeted her roommate with a smile. A probably warmer one than she'd been giving before. "Zatanna," she said. "It's good to see you."

[identity profile] talks-backwards.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Heeeeeey~!" She would hug her, but...that could wait for later. "And it's good to see you too!" It was good to hang with Elphaba under regular circumstances.

"Did you ever find your own little tik-toks?" Elphaba asked. "I only ask because you seemed more than a little concerned about the assignment."

[identity profile] talks-backwards.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"Tik...you mean the droid babies? Squall has them." She was decidedly too calm about it; sorry Elphie, Zatanna wasn't growing a maternal instinct anytime soon. "At least they didn't get forgotten somewhere...I should probably check they are, you know, alright?"

[identity profile] didntchewgrass.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Elphaba shrugged. "Bruce told me his had its head ripped off and he still passed the assignment," she said. "As long as someone is watching them, I think you're all right."

[identity profile] talks-backwards.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh really now? This is one senseless assigment, then." What was the point if they would pass anyway? Anakin was certainly making the whole liking him thing an issue.

[identity profile] didntchewgrass.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"He said it was done by a monster," Elphaba said. "Which was the truth, not a case of the dog eating his homework. But I'm not so sure it's senseless, now that I've truly thought about it."

"Really? Because besides having to deal with sudden luggage, I don't know how a baby droid will make me a better...mom?"

Someone had just started to connect the dots.

"That's not quite the lesson I think we're supposed to be learning," Elphaba said. "Fake children don't make real parents."

[identity profile] talks-backwards.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Zatanna shrugged again, lifting an eyebrow in confusion. "Then...? Annoying children, fake or not, were perfect to give one a feel about being a parent."

[identity profile] didntchewgrass.livejournal.com 2010-11-17 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"I think that's the idea, at least," Elphaba said. "Not to teach us how to be parents, but the feeling of what it's like. In case we were to let our hormones get the better of us."

[identity profile] talks-backwards.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh."

That didn't make it remotely better. Not even close. "I think I migth fail this one..."
