The Pool; Thursday Evening [ 11/18 ] -- POOL PARTY!!!

It was finally Thursday! It was finally party time!

And Ariel, not wanting to be a disappointment in carrying the tradition of Atlantican parties onto the land, had gone all out, showing up at the pool as soon as she was finished with Glee Club to get everything set and ready for when the party was going to start. The decorations were slightly insane, and had been...an interesting challenge to put up, but Ariel had managed without falling into the pool too much. And off in an area where the splashing was unlikely to spoil anything, she'd set up a food table with all of her favorite human foods (she was going to do some Atlantican ones, but she'd have to make them herself, and no one wanted that) and a dance floor with a DJ booth for Jono.

How she got all this down here and up was just going to wind up being one of those great mysteries of life, but she knew that hard work and perseverance and obsessive planning had really paid off.

But, of course, it'd be nothing without guests.

[[ yay party! OCD is on the way up, huzzah! Everyone got a personal invitation, so come on in, the water's fine! ]]

Elphaba cheerily returned the wave. "I think I'm quite well, actually. I'm not surprised to see you here. After all, I'd think the pool would be your element."

"When it's too cold for the pond or the swamp, yes it is." Robin agreed. You know, besides the stage. "So, semester's almost over, are you used to Fandom's weirdness yet?"

"That's not a very specific question, Robin," Elphaba said. "If you mean that I'm aware of what can happen, yes I am used to it. But I don't think I wish to be used to the idea that I can become a boy overnight for two days."

Robin had not had that particular experience. "That's never happened to me, switching genders I mean. But I did turn into a human one weekend."

Now that was curious. "Did you like it?" Elphaba asked, instantly.

"I didn't...dislike it." Robin said. "I never really had time to get used to it. Even though I was short, I was still a lot bigger than I am now. And everything felt so different."

"I can only imagine," Elphaba said. "Were you... treated differently?" She had to ask, with this world's attitude towards animals.

Robin couldn't really remember. Everything was so confused that weekend. "Well, people weren't as surprised to see me I guess."
