It was finally Thursday! It was finally party time!

And Ariel, not wanting to be a disappointment in carrying the tradition of Atlantican parties onto the land, had gone all out, showing up at the pool as soon as she was finished with Glee Club to get everything set and ready for when the party was going to start. The decorations were slightly insane, and had been...an interesting challenge to put up, but Ariel had managed without falling into the pool too much. And off in an area where the splashing was unlikely to spoil anything, she'd set up a food table with all of her favorite human foods (she was going to do some Atlantican ones, but she'd have to make them herself, and no one wanted that) and a dance floor with a DJ booth for Jono.

How she got all this down here and up was just going to wind up being one of those great mysteries of life, but she knew that hard work and perseverance and obsessive planning had really paid off.

But, of course, it'd be nothing without guests.

"Good. Although I shouldn't complain. It's not like I have any cooking ability to speak of," Bruce said. But that was mainly because he had no interest in learning how to.

"I guess that's why we have others to do it for us, then," Ariel said with a shrug.

"I'm sure I'll be giving my compliments to whoever is responsible for the food tonight," Bruce said.

"Mostly J,GoB and the snack aisle at Turtle and Canary," Ariel offered helpfully. "That panda bear is incredibly...er...helpful. He picked out the cheese spread."

"... Panda bear?" Bruce asked.

Why no, he didn't often have a reason to go to the local grocery store.

"Yes!" Ariel said with great enthusiasm. "He works there in the cheese aisle! I didn't think anyone would hire a panda bear just work in a cheese aisle, but the man who owns the shop is a little funny, anyway, though he does have a pretty robe. Anyway, I was just about to go for a different cheese platter, but then the panda showed up, and...er...suggested to me a...um...better one..."

"I've never had a panda mislead me when it comes to cheese," Bruce said. "So I see no reason to distrust his recommendation."

Ariel had seen the look in that panda's eye. She was certainly not going to argue with the recommendations, at the very least, and she slightly shook her head.

"It's definitely good cheese."
