The Pool; Thursday Evening [ 11/18 ] -- POOL PARTY!!!

It was finally Thursday! It was finally party time!

And Ariel, not wanting to be a disappointment in carrying the tradition of Atlantican parties onto the land, had gone all out, showing up at the pool as soon as she was finished with Glee Club to get everything set and ready for when the party was going to start. The decorations were slightly insane, and had been...an interesting challenge to put up, but Ariel had managed without falling into the pool too much. And off in an area where the splashing was unlikely to spoil anything, she'd set up a food table with all of her favorite human foods (she was going to do some Atlantican ones, but she'd have to make them herself, and no one wanted that) and a dance floor with a DJ booth for Jono.

How she got all this down here and up was just going to wind up being one of those great mysteries of life, but she knew that hard work and perseverance and obsessive planning had really paid off.

But, of course, it'd be nothing without guests.

Bruce seemed to have a habit of inspiring abnormal greetings from Rinoa. "Not too bad. Feeling less awkward than I thought I would, but I think Ariel inspires that kind of reaction."

Okay, that she could sympathize with. Damn Bruce anyway for making her feel for him.

Yeah, he was good at that game. "Pretty much. To be honest, I'm still a little surprised she invited me. She really does treasure friendships no matter what, I guess."

"I still expected a little more time before I was invited to any parties," Bruce said with a slight shrug, not really answering the question so much as suggesting an answer. "But I think I'm better suited to being a friend to her anyway."
