Sookie had spent the better part of the morning ensuring that every balloon was filled, that the food -- thanks Kennedy -- was out, and that the ballpit was available for maximum...ballpittiness.

Shhh.

The cake had taken her awhile (though she'd ordered the penguins rather than made them herself) but overall, she was pretty pleased with it. And hopefully, the birthday boy would also be.

"Does time pass more slowly or more quickly for you in your home world?" Raven asked curiously. "I have not left Fandom very much since I arrived, so I have no idea if it passes any differently in Azarath or the Earth that was my mother's home." That gave her sudden pause for thought -- just how long had Trigon been imprisoned in his own dimension? Only half a year or had he had much more time to attempt to escape?

"Quicker," Bobby said. "Sometimes I go home for a weekend but I'm actually there for like, a week."

Not that he'd be going back anytime soon.

"Fandom is indeed a strange and wondrous place," Raven mused. At least traveling between worlds where time moved differently hadn't had much of a detrimental effect on the bodies of those who'd experienced it -- and trust her, she'd checked. "But I am very glad for the friends I have made here."

Well, Bobby's trips home were usually pretty detrimental... but it wasn't the travel itself doing the damage. More his tendency to get in trouble. "I never thought I needed anyone else other than my friends before Fandom," Bobby admitted. "But now, I dunno what I'd do without you guys."

"I feel much the same," Raven said fondly. "I do not know what I would have done had I not come to Fandom." Aside from form her own superhero team, of course.

"When's your birthday anyway?" Bobby asked curiously. If she'd mentioned it before, well. He was a teenage boy. Of course he'd forgotten.

"If I have calculated it right from when I was born in Azarath, it is this month," Raven said. "The thirteenth. I think I will be seventeen as well."

"December birthdays are best," Bobby said seriously.

He was maybe slightly biased given being, well, himself, but whatever.

He was also going to make a mental note to talk to Karla about whether anything was being arranged for Raven's birthday.

"They are," Raven agreed with a smile. "And the cold weather is very fitting for you, is it not?"

"Exactly!" Bobby nodded enthusiastically. "My birthday, Hanukkah, Christmas, and cold weather. December's basically non-stop awesome." Well. Usually.

"You are much more fond of the snow than I," Raven teased. "It was enchanting at first, but Azarath did not have cold weather such as we do here."

"Yeah, Sookie likes it for like, five minutes and then she's ready to go inside," Bobby said with a fond eyeroll. "But really, the cold here's nothing. You should see Antarctica."

"Are there penguins there?" Raven had to ask. Because what would be the attraction otherwise?

Well, there was the whole tropical reserve part? People seemed to like that.

"Lots and lots of penguins," Bobby said with a nod.

"Then let us hope you never transform into one if we are ever visiting there," Raven said solemnly. "Or we will never find you."
