6th Floor Common Room [Saturday afternoon]

Sookie had spent the better part of the morning ensuring that every balloon was filled, that the food -- thanks Kennedy -- was out, and that the ballpit was available for maximum...ballpittiness.

Shhh.

The cake had taken her awhile (though she'd ordered the penguins rather than made them herself) but overall, she was pretty pleased with it. And hopefully, the birthday boy would also be.

[SP from me until about 5:30 EST! lol I got certified early and they let me go at 1.]

"Shut up," Bobby stuck his tongue out at Kennedy like the totally mature seventeen-ish-year-old he was. "It's not like it's my actual birthday," he pointed out.

Bobby just shrugged. "Maybe?" if the party had been on his actual birthday, it probably wouldn't have gone over nearly as well, honestly. "Not like it'd take much work to beat last year's celebration."

"God, Kennedy, you make it sound like you're riding off into the sunset or something," he rolled his eyes. Underneath the sarcasm, though, was some genuine worry about how dangerous this 'Slayer' thing was. Not that he didn't doubt Kennedy could handle herself if she got called, but... yeah.

"It's not like I want to!" Kennedy exclaimed. "I'd stick around forever if I could, but I think flunking my senior year wouldn't go down so well."

God, she even sounded guilty about it from two angles. Which was so not an appropriate tone for a birthday party.

"But meantime? You're stuck with me, so deal."
