Sookie had spent the better part of the morning ensuring that every balloon was filled, that the food -- thanks Kennedy -- was out, and that the ballpit was available for maximum...ballpittiness.

Shhh.

The cake had taken her awhile (though she'd ordered the penguins rather than made them herself) but overall, she was pretty pleased with it. And hopefully, the birthday boy would also be.

Sookie cleared her throat, in a subtle sort of way, and oh-so-casually reached up under the collar of her shirt to tug out a blue strap he wouldn't recognize.

In his head, she projected what the whole outfit looked like.

"Happy birthday."
