Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday afternoon

After spending part of yesterday giving his equipment a solid field test as he learned how to fight a giant robot, Bruce felt that today was a good day for quiet reflection, a short break from training, and watching a couple hours of shows about real life crimes on the Biography Channel. He wasn't sure why there was a two hour block of crime shows between Finding Hulk Hogan and I Survived... or if this was a regular thing, but it gave him something to focus on and take notes about discreetly in a small notebook.

Yes, this is how he liked to spend lazy Sundays.

[OOC: Open CR!]

Though Ariel had been missing the great new friends she had made exploring the labyrinth like she probably wasn't supposed to, she figured it was probably for the best how things turned out and then it was back to another week of school before she had to go home for a bit, so she'd have to make the most of it before she was stuck in a tail until the next semester.

Which meant bouncing into the common room and seeing what was going on.

And, of course, commenting on.

She let out a groan as she dropped down on the couch, after having grabbed a tub of ice cream from the freezer (it was this neat Japanese kind from Turtle & Canary that was flavored like seaweed!).

"Please tell me you're not actually watching something boring again, Bruce."

"What is it?" Ariel asked, tilting her head and savoring a bite of ice cream a moment.

"Oh, want some ice cream? I will so end up going through this whole thing if I don't get someone else to eat it, too."

A pause, and then, "This reminds me of Mr. Holmes' class."

Another pause. "The show, not the ice cream."

"Hey, do you think there's some chocolate sauce in the freezer?"

Someone was feeling restless, yes.

"Oh, right," Ariel said with a nod. "You're not that into sweets. But this is a little different. It's seaweed ice cream, see? Not too sweet at all."

Pause.

"Thus the chocolate sauce."

"At Turtle & Canary!" Ariel offered happily, beaming through a spoonful. "I mean, once the frozen food section turned back to normal, anyway."

"It's Japanese," Ariel offered, "and so is the man who runs the shop. He's the one who helped me find Giga Pudding."

Because someone wouldn't help get it for me, he eyes seemed to add pointedly in reproach.

"We had it at Glee Club," Ariel said proudly. "And, you know what, it was just as fun as the ad made it seem to be."

Even if Ariel was probably the only one who thought so.

Ariel could have pointed out that, since his definition usually included avoiding fun for the most part, hers was the more accurate one, but she was going to be good.

"Not necessarily," she offered instead. "You knew the steering column would be fun."
