Fifth Floor Common Room [Sunday morning]

After so many requests for pancakes from her own children yesterday morning, Sookie figured that might be a theme for the weekend. And when she woke up, and Henry wasn't gone, at least, she'd run out to get a few supplies before returning to the common room to see what she could put together. (Though, of course, Henry had insisted on coming with her once he realized she was Going to the Store and he might Get Stuff.)

It clearly just wasn't her own children she was worried about, here, Drake/di Glacia/Stackhouse appetites aside. Sookie had bought enough things to make breakfast for pretty much any kids (and parents) who showed up. She was setting to work on the pancakes, but in other pans she was busily scrambling eggs and frying up some bacon. She'd also made a point to buy orange and apple juice and milk both chocolate and white, because there was no way in hell she was letting more of those kids just drink coffee. She didn't care if it was for a weekend, it was just irresponsible.

[open common room! come have breakfast!]

"Hello Aunt Sookie!" came a chorus of voices, save for Dahlia, who shouted, "Hi, Mommy, hi Mommy!" and Della who just watched it all with wide eyes.

Time for introductions. "This is Kayla and her brother Nommy," Karla said, placing her hands on the little boy and another girl. Their fluttering wings probably answered whatever questions Sookie might have had about their paternity. "Dahlia you know--" and boy did Karla have questions about her "--this is Rook--" pale skin, dark hair, bright blue gem in the middle of her forehead, again an easy guess for Sookie, "--Jaenelle Mara, who visited last year. She's Ben's daughter; Della, I adopted after her parents were killed in the war--" Karla's eyes were sad about that, "--and, uhh...Bobina. Drake." Her hands rested on the head of a dark-haired little girl with iron hands. "I'm still trying to figure out...yeah..."

"Mommy!" Dahlia shrieked, and flung herself at Sookie's legs. "Mama also said I can't have coffee this mornin'. She said that means less for her."

In a "whisper" she added, "I think Mama sometimes forgets about sharing."

"I'm pretty sure that's his nickname," Karla said. "But he won't tell us his other name because that's his in-trouble name and he's been nothing but good this weekend. And the other kids are just going along with it because they enjoy it when I'm flustered."

Karla had no idea where that tendency came from. Honestly. Probably their fathers and other assorted parents.

"Me! Me!" the kids called. Even Della and Rook lost their usual reserve at the mention of pancakes.

"No coffee," Karla agreed. "Mommy needs that all for her, to keep up with you lot."

"See, I toooldja!" Dahlia said to Sookie.

"But we haven't gone flyin' without Daddy since then!" Nommy insisted, tugging on Karla's hand. "Even though I'm lots bigger than I was when we went the other time."

He'd done LOTS of growing in the intervening months. Lots!

"Like this much taller!" he said, showing with his fingers.
