Third Floor Common Room; Sunday Afternoon [ 02/13 ].

When one considered the situation, and the fact that Malaxandra was clearly from a Crazy Future that Would Never Exist, one was able to take this whole thing in stride. Besides, he rather enjoyed the company of his fake half-vampire daughter, and he would always enjoy the company of his fake future councilor that fakely birthed her, and so they were doing the only thing such a family could do to spend time together and bond.

However, they barely got into the movie and into the tubs of ice cream before Alexander had to comment in a whispered tone to Maladicta, "Maybe we shouldn't have let her pick out the film..."

To be fair, who wouldn't have thought Rule of Flame showed promise?

[[ HERE. HAVE MORE OPEN COMMON ROOMS =D ]]

"I'm not sure, Beren," Maladicta replied, glancing down at him. "Soon enough."

The ice cream bowl was put to the side and Beren shifted closer against Maladicta, enjoying the familiar cold. "Promise?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Damn him for making her feel slightly maternal. "Promise."

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Beren nodded in satisfaction. "It's too noisy."

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"You get used to the noises," she assured him with another pat. "Just focus on the moving picture and block out the heartbeats."

The delicious heartbeats.

There was a good deal of wriggling before Beren found a position he truly liked (which somehow got him even closer), and then he stared at the screen. "What's happening?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"It appears the men are being idiots about fighting many, many dragons." So, business as usual to her. "You're not allowed to do that, understood?"

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Beren frowned and craned his neck far far back to glance up at her. "What if they're mean dragons?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Then you use your brain to fight them. Not rush in like a fool."

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"Think first," he nodded and settled back as that was familiar to him. "Find a stratgy."

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"You would have beaten the dragons already, wouldn't you?" he asked.

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"I," Maladicta said with great importance. "Wouldn't have had to."

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
That made little sense to Beren. "Why not?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"I never would have allowed it to get to that point."

Riiiiight.

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Beren, however, did not question it. If his mother said so, then it was true. "Would you have beaten up the King dragon?"

[identity profile] inneedofcoffee.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Of course. And it would have been far more interesting than this."

And have less Christian Bale.

[identity profile] coffee-ranger.livejournal.com 2011-02-13 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's not a very good story," Beren agreed. Mostly because he understood very little of it and he liked it better when his father was the one telling it.

"Enjoy your ice cream then." Somehow she doubted he was going to get any where Faramir was from.
